Sword & Shield
◆ "Guard Slash" can now lead to various follow-up attacks and is also compatible with Perfect Guard. ◆ "Perfect Rush" now has 4 hits in the third step, "Scaling Slash." |
Lance
◆ "Charge Counter" can now be performed from any follow-up attack by pressing R2 + ◯. - A Guard effect occurs during the charge, and it retaliates when attacked. ◆ Power Guard can now be activated by pressing R2 + X during a Charge Counter or while being knocked back. ◆ From both Perfect Guard and Power Guard, you can now perform a new move by pressing △ + ◯. - When attacked during Power Guard, the new move is enhanced. ◆ The Follow-up Dash Attack has been changed to a follow-up move from the new move. ◆ Payback Thrust is now a two-hit attack. ◆ The new move can be followed up with either "Triple Thrust III" or "Charge Counter." ◆ The time it takes to accelerate Dash Attack has been reduced. ◆ Skills that branch from Perfect Guard now receive a buff. ◆ You no longer need to perform a Guard to activate Guard Dash. |
Switch Axe
◆ The Switch Gauge now recovers when morphing from Sword to Axe during an attack. ◆ "Sword: Morph Slash" from an Evade now allows a 360-degree direction change even without Focus Mode. ◆ The damage reduction rate on a successful counter from "Sword: Counter Rising Slash" has been increased, and a new action has been added. ◆ The damage reduction rate on a successful counter has been increased. ◆ Roars can now be countered. ◆ It is now possible to cancel Reload by Evade. |

◆ The appearance of the Pop-Up Camp can now be customized. ◆ As before, the crafting shop and supply sales continue. ◆ A "Food Distribution Center" has been added, where you can receive rations for completing quests. ◆ A training area has been added, allowing you to configure various elements. |

◆ Windward Plains changes weather from Fallow → Inclemency → Plenty. - Fallow: Period where monsters gather and fight. - Inclemency: Apex monsters of the field's ecosystem appear. - Plenty: Period where monsters fight among each other (causing chaotic battles). ◆ There are Environmental Features that become available depending on the terrain and weather. ◆ The map's size is approximately four times that of the world. ◆ You can now submerge underwater. - Gathering is possible, but attacking is not. ◆ Endemic Life exists in the field. ◆ At Base Camp, you can cook "Campfire Meals." - Combine portable/added/final ingredients to activate Meal Effects/Skills. - You can register your favorite meals or choose recommended ones. - The presentation of the dish changes based on selected ingredients. - With the Portable BBQ Grill, you can cook anywhere. ◆ Pop-Up Camps must be set up from among the possible camp locations. - It functions just like a regular camp. - Pop-Up Camps can be placed at locations glowing green in the field. |

◆ Mounted Attacks on monsters continue to be available. ◆ Attacking from behind without being noticed results in massive damage. ◆ There are monster packs, with one larger individual in the group acting as the boss. - There are quests to hunt the boss monster. - Hitting with a Large Dung Pod can break up the pack. ◆ Monsters can be led into traps set by other monsters. - Example: Dropping Doshaguma into Balahara's quicksand. ◆ Overhunting the same monster will cause a longer respawn time. - Simply returning to the base will no longer reset this feature. |

◆ Equipment can be used regardless of gender. ◆ "Group Skills" are activated when equipment is matched according to the species. - Example: Equipping all items with Brute Wyvern monster parts. ◆ Certain offensive skills are also attached to weapons. ◆ Mantles continue to be available. - Ghillie Mantle has been confirmed. ◆ The Palico Slinger also continues to be available. |

◆ Quests begin after dealing a certain amount of damage. - Supply items are replenished as soon as the quest starts. - After completing the quest, you can immediately transition to exploration. ◆ Materials are automatically obtained through wounding or breaking parts. ◆ Quests that begin with damage are classified as field investigation quests. ◆ The tracking system remains in place, and investigation points accumulate over time. |

◆ There are three types of Slinger Ammo: - Large Dung Pod (Can break up monster packs). - Guiding Ammo (Monsters will follow it). - Paint Ammo (Possibly for marking monsters, like Paintballs). ◆ You can now lift and roll Large Barrel Bombs to trigger blasts. - There is no need to use the Slinger or other methods to detonate it. ◆ Materials obtained are automatically stored in the box each time the camp menu is opened. ◆ Placed Shock Traps can now be retrieved and reused. |

◆ Camera settings are now more detailed. ◆ Seikret can be summoned by pressing the up direction on the D-pad. - Pressing up on the D-pad while riding switches to auto-move. - It can be used immediately after taking damage, making it useful as a countermeasure. ◆ Movement via Wedge Beetle continues to be available. ◆ You can call other players or NPCs using a SOS signal. ◆ It's possible to form a party with NPCs for hunts. |

Exclusive to Invited Streamers and Media
Only media and streamers invited by the official channels were able to play the early access to Monster Hunter Wilds. The general public were able to play during the 'TGS 2024' demo or when the beta versions were released.
