Escape Artist Meal Stamina consumption decreases when escaping from large monsters.
Hardy Meal Reduces and nullifies damage and damage caused by terrain.
Rider Meal Makes it easier to mount monsters.
Black Belt Meal Reduces stamina depletion when evading atacks.
Balanced Meal Prevents you from getting knocked down.

Check Meal Effects in the Menu

Monster Hunter Wilds' Meal Effects are displayed in the skill section of the menu screen. If you want to know the details of the Meal Effects, make sure to check the effects of each ingredient beforehand by going to the Campfire menu and selecting Cook → Choose Ingredients.

The remaining time for Meal Effects will be displayed at the top left of the screen when you press the L1 button. Additionally, the Meat icon will appear during the effect's duration, allowing you to identify it by the icon.

Meal Invitations and Meal Effects

Unlocked by Clearing Mission for Specific NPC

Meal invitations from Monster Hunter Wilds will occur as you progress through the story or clear a specific NPC's quest. The Meal skill will be activated for a longer time with more effects than regular Cooking, so be sure to accept the invitation when it occurs.

Lets You Know in Environment Overview

If a Meal invitation event is occurring, a mark will appear on the area map, and it will also be listed in the Environment Overview section. After confirming these, head to each village and talk to the NPC to eat the Meal. Depending on the environment and time of day, this may not be possible. In that case, take a break at camp and adjust the conditions.

At the canteen in the Grand Hub, you can use Meal Vouchers to enjoy dishes from various regions. Meal Effects are the same as those offered through Meal Invitations in each village. One Meal Voucher is required for each meal. You can earn Meal Vouchers through login bonuses or by completing event bounties.

Monster Hunter Wilds Fire Cooking can be made from Camp or Portable BBQ Grill. If you are camping, select a fire-cooked meal from the Campfire menu.

Cook anywhere with Portable BBQ Grill

Normally you can only cook while camping, but with the Portable BBQ Grill you can cook over fire anytime and anywhere. Portable BBQ Grill can be obtained from the Provisions Stockpile in Chapter 1-2.

Custom MealSelect and create each item ingredients by yourself
- Use when you want to choose the additional effects
Favorite MealsCook the dishes registered in Favorite Meals

Next, select a cooking method and start cooking. During this process, the selected ingredients will be consumed one by one, so you cannot use any ingredients that you don't have on hand. You can save your preferred recipes in Favorite Meals for easy access later.

Make a Well-done Steak

You can make a Well-Done Steak in the Grill Meat option from the campfire menu. Like a Max Potion, a Well-Done Steak increases both health and stamina to their maximum and fully restores all items. Be sure to bring one with you when going out on a hunt.

Select ration, additional ingredients, and finishing ingredients to complete the dish. Each one has a different effect, so adjust your choices depending on what you need.

Additional Random Meal Effect Activated

In addition to the effects granted by the ingredients, one extra meal effect will be randomly activated for each additional or finishing ingredient used. If you use both an additional ingredient and a finishing ingredient, two effects will be activated.

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) - Blossomdance Voucher

During the last event, (Blossomdance), you could enjoy the seasonal Blossomdance Sushi Meal. You needed to use Blossomdance Vouchers for every meal, so make sure to acquire seasonal vouchers from login bonuses and limited bounties while a seasonal event is available. Note that you will be unable to use these vouchers once that event has ended, so exchange them while you can!
