By moving the bait, players can lure fish into biting. Once you throw the lure in front of the fish move the L stick up and down rapidly.

A Whopper might head towards an obstacle, which may let it escape. If the Whopper is heading towards an obstacle tilt the L stick away from the obstacle.
Whopper Leaps Left, Up or Right

Some Whoppers jump up from the water. You need to move the lure in the direction the fish is jumping before it goes back in the water. A Whopper can leap left, up, or right, so tilt the L stick towards where the whopper is leaping and press R2.
