Throwing Knife - How to Use

Attack Enemies from a Distance

The Throwing Knife in Monster Hunter Wilds is used to attack distant enemies. However, its damage is very low, so it's not commonly used for attacking purposes. It can also trigger environmental features like bomb detonations, but this can also be done with the Hook Slinger, so using the Throwing Knife is unnecessary.

Throwing Knife Can Be Crafted

The Throwing Knife can be crafted to apply status effects. For example, when combined with Tranq Ammo, it becomes a Tranq Blade, which can put monsters caught in Traps to sleep.

Reload Throwing Knife into Slinger and Use

Hold to Aim
Slinger Shot

Throwing Knife can be used as Slinger Ammo. Hold L2 to aim and press R2 to shoot.
