How to Get Mending Mantle

Mending Mantle Effect and How to Use

MantleEffect

Time: 80 seconds
Cooldown: 10 minutes
The Mending Mantle continuously restores Health over a set duration. The recovery effect is also triggered when attacking monsters.

Recovers Health for 80 Seconds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Mending Mantle continuously restores Health for 80 seconds when equipped. Its main advantage is the ability to recover Health without interrupting your attacks. Since it restores Health up to your maximum HP, you won't have to worry about fainting unless you take a fatal hit.

Effect Triggers Once Every 5 Seconds

The Mending Mantle's continuous healing activates at 5-second intervals. However, since the first recovery triggers 5 seconds after equipping the mantle, note that it does not provide immediate healing.

Attacks Grant Additional Recovery

While wearing the Mending Mantle, Health is also restored when your attacks hit a monster. Since staying aggressive contributes to survival, it's especially effective when paired with high hit-count weapon types like Dual Blades.

Synergizes Perfectly With 'Peak Performance'

The Mending Mantle makes it easier to maintain maximum health, making it highly compatible with skills like Peak Performance that activate when HP is full. Even if your HP is reduced by actions like guarding, the skill can quickly reactivate, making the mantle a viable option for guard-focused weapons like the Lance and Gunlance.

Push Offensive With Actions That Negate Stagger

Push Offensive

It's also effective when using stagger-resistant attacks, such as the Switch Axe's Full Release Rush or the Great Sword's Tackle. These allow you to turn situations where you would normally need to evade into offensive opportunities, enabling aggressive play to deal consistent damage.

'Flinch Free' Is Highly Recommended

Activating the skill 'Flinch Free' at Lv3 will prevent you from flinching from all attacks except knockback moves, allowing you to focus more on offense. If you're prepared to face monster attacks and offset attacks head-on, prioritize equipping this skill.

Equipping From Radial Menu

For all Mantles, equipping a Mantle from the Radial Menu allows it to be worn even while your weapon is drawn. Additionally, except for the Stealth Mantle, all other Mantles can be equipped by pressing L1 + R2, so keep this in mind.
