Lala Barina Strategy Tips

1▼ When in Rage Mode, Be Careful of Paralysis
2▼ Aim for a Knockdown by Part Breaking the Torso

When in Rage Mode, Be Careful of Paralysis

Lala Barina Paralysis

In Monster Hunter Wilds, when Lala Barina goes into enrage state, the monster's body opens like a rose. During this phase, it significantly increases the frequency of scattering cotton-like spores, increasing the likelihood of you being Paralyzed. If you get paralyzed, move the L stick continuously to speed up recovery.

Aim for a Knockdown by Part Breaking the Torso

Hit Lala Barina's Body to knock it down

If you part break Lala Barina's torso, the monster will be knocked down. Since the torso makes up a large portion of its body, there's a high chance you'll break it even without focusing on it. This creates a great opportunity to land powerful attacks.

How to Fight Lala Barina

1▼ Keep Track of Falling Petals
2▼ Lock On to Lala Barina
3▼ Attack the Suspended Lala Barina
4▼ Watch Your Health Bar

Keep Track of Falling Petals

When Lala Barina scatters its petals, they remain suspended in the air for a while. To avoid being paralyzed, make sure to monitor both Lala Barina's position and the floating petal locations.

Lock On to Lala Barina

Lala Barina is agile and quickly moves to your blind spot. To avoid unforseen attacks, use the lock-on feature to follow Lala Barina's movement, ensuring it never leaves your sight.

Attack the Suspended Lala Barina

When Lala Barina hangs from the ceiling and releases petals, the lengthy animation gives you a chance to attack if you can get close. While there's a risk of paralysis, petals won't paralyze you with just one hit, so you can be aggressive in your approach.

Watch Your Health Bar

Some of Lala Barina's attacks do not knock back or flinch the Hunter, making it hard to notice that you've already been hit by an attack. By the time most Hunters notice, their only moments away from suffering a knock out. So make sure to watch your health bar whenever you confront a Lala Barina.
