Lagiacrus Latest Information

Lagiacrus in Official Video

A monster hinted to be Lagiacrus was seen in the official showcase video. It was a monster released in Monster Hunter 3 and last appeared in the Generation Series.

To be Added on Second Title Update

Lagiacrus Release Date and Weaknesses

Lagiacrus has only been hinted on at the end of the first Title Update video. It is likely to be implemented in the second Title Update scheduled to release in summer.

Latest Update Information

May Appear in Scarlet Forest

Lagiacrus showcase

As mentioned above, Lagiacrus is a monster that is related to maps with water. Therefore it is likely to appear in Scarlet Forest. Even in the showcase video, trees are visible in the background.

Expected Armor Set Bonus Skills is Elemental-Based

The performance of the Lagiacrus armor changes depending on the game, but in the most recent appearance in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, it featured the 'Elemental Attack Boost' that enhances the weapon's elemental value, which is a characteristic of an Insect Glaive move. However, in Wilds, the armor does not have Element Boost-type skills, so it may be implemented as a Set Bonus Skill instead.

High-Stat Thunder Element Weapon

The previous Lagiacrus weapons were known for their Thunder Element, and in melee, they featured excellent Attack and Sharpness. In Wilds, the crafted Thunder Element weapons include Rey Dau and Anjanath weapons, which are likely to be implemented with comparable performance.

Lagiacrus Preparation Guide

1.▼ Raise your HR to 21
2.▼ Activate Stun Resistance Skill
3.▼ Upgrade Armor

Raise Your HR to Level 21

The conditions for unlocking Lagiacrus are still unknown, but since Mizutsune is set to appear at HR 21, it's a good idea to raise your Hunter Rank to at least that level. Ideally, aiming for HR 40 and progressing through the story would put you in a better position for whatever challenges await.

How to Raise Hunter Rank (HR Level)

Activate Stun Resistance Skill

In previous games, Lagiacrus used Thunder Element attacks that could inflict Thunderblight, making you more prone to being stunned which may result in fainting. To counter this, consider equipping "Steadfast Jewel" to activate "Stun Resistance Lv3" for better protection.

Upgrade Your Armor

Lagiacrus is expected to arrive in the second major update, meaning it could be a formidable opponent. Be sure to upgrade your go-to armor for added defense. Since there's still time before summer, it's also a good idea to prepare by crafting and refining Fire Element weapons, especially those from the Artian series, to exploit Lagiacrus's weakness.
