How to play solo online in Monster Hunter Wilds. Check out the guide on how to play on a solo lobby, how to play with no party by yourself.

How To Play Solo

To play solo in Monster Hunter Wilds, select Online Single Player from the Select Lobby menu or speak to the receptionist. Alternatively, you can leave the game idle in multiplayer for about 30 minutes.

Select Online Single Player

To play solo in Monster Hunter Wilds, select Online Single Player from the Select Lobby menu before starting the game.

Speak To Alma & Select Online Single Player

You can switch to single player mode from the Quest Counter. Speak to Alma, the receptionist at Base Camp, and select Online Single Player from the Change Lobby menu.

Idle In Multiplayer For 30 Minutes

If you enter a lobby and stay idle for about 30 minutes, it will automatically switch to Online Single Player.

Can I Play Offline?

Unavailable at the Moment

It is not possible to play Monster Hunter Wilds without an internet connection. If you want to play solo, use the Online Single Player feature mentioned above.

Differences Between Solo & Multiplayer

Pausing the Game

You can pause the game from the System menu while in Online Single Player mode. This feature allows you to completely stop the game, even during battle, with no in-game time passing.

Take Photos With Photo Mode

While the game is paused, you can use Photo Mode to adjust and capture the scene even while you are in combat.

No Other Players In Base Camp

As expected, other players are not displayed in Base Camp in Online Single Player. This is perfect for hunters who want to enjoy the game at their own pace or prioritize immersion.

SOS Flare Enables Multiplayer

Even in Online Single Player mode, you can use an SOS Flare to temporarily enable multiplayer during hunts.
