How to Capture Rime Beetle

Approach and Capture with the Capture Net

The Rime Beetle can be approached and captured with the Capture Net. It will flee when you get close, but if you're holding a Snowball, its movements will be slowed making it easier to chase down.

Grab Button Allows You to Get Slinger Ammo

Pressing the Circle button/B button allows you to obtain Frostburst. However, this method does not count as capturing the Rime Beetle, so if you need to capture it for a Side Mission, be sure to use the Capture Net.

Capture Rime Beetle While Obtaining Slinger Ammo

After claiming the Frostburst, the beetle dropped the snowball and ran faster than usual. Take the chance to use the Capture Net to obtain both Frostburst and Rime Beetle. Be careful, as the Rime Beetle moves faster without the snowball, making it harder to catch.

Change the Time Using the Camp Rest Feature if Missing

The camp has a "Rest" function that allows you to change the environment and time of day. Even if this is a good option, especially if you're near a camp, resting costs you 300 Guild Points.
