How to Edit Shoutouts
Edit From Communication Menu
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Shoutouts can be edited by opening the Shoutouts list from the speech bubble tabs under the Communication menu and then using the Sub-menu options.
Open the Communication Menu

First, open the Start Menu and access the Communication menu from the speech bubble tab.
Select the Category of Shoutout You Want to Change

Manual Shoutouts | You can set up messages that can be manually sent and are auto-translatable. |
---|---|
Custom Shoutouts | You can set up messages that can be manually sent, but they are not auto-translatable. |
Auto Shoutouts | Automatic messages can be set to send in specific situations. |
Select the Shoutout you wish to edit or change. Shoutouts are categorized into three types, each with slightly different functions.
Select a Shoutout and Edit It From the Sub-Menu

Select the message you want to change, open the Sub-menu, and choose Edit Text to edit.
What You Can Do with Shoutout Settings
Auto Shoutouts Can Be Toggled On/Off Individually

Auto Shoutouts can be switched ON or OFF individually. Set up which situations will trigger each message in advance.

For Manual and Custom Shoutouts, you can change the target recipient. Select who you want to send the message to.
You Can Filter Using Favorites

Shoutouts can be marked as favorites. You can filter to show only favorites, making it easier to access frequently used Shoutouts.
Can Also Register in the Radial Menu

Manual and Custom Shoutouts can be registered in the Radial Menu. You can register them in the Radial Menu for quick sending. When editing Shoutouts, those registered in the Radial Menu will also be updated accordingly.

How to Use Shoutouts
Press Confirm on the Shoutout

For Manual and Custom Shoutouts, you can open the Shoutouts list and send the selected text to the chat by pressing confirm.
Can Send Using Radial Menu

If you have set it up in advance, it is also possible to send Shoutouts from the Radial Menu. It is a good idea to register frequently used Shoutouts, such as greetings.
Auto Shoutouts
Auto Shoutouts are sent automatically when the specified conditions are met. Each condition can be individually configured to determine whether it is sent automatically.

A Feature That Sends Preset Messages

Shoutouts are a feature that allows you to preset messages, enabling quick and easy communication without the need to manually type in the chat.
Manual Shoutouts Are Translated Automatically
The messages set for Manual Shoutouts can be configured for automatic translation. Common phrases like greetings are set by default, so leaving them as is allows for smooth communication with players using other languages.
Custom Shoutouts Cannot Be Translated Automatically
Custom Shoutouts do not support automatic translation. Use this option if you want to create fully customized Shoutouts.
Use Auto Shoutouts

Auto Shoutouts are automatically sent to chat when specific conditions are met, such as mounting a monster or being revived, enhancing the sense of immersion during the hunt without the need to type messages manually.
