Character Creation Tips

Remove Hair And Makeup

Using a preset with long hair from the start can hide your cheeks and jawline, making it feel off when you switch to a different hairstyle. To achieve better facial balance, it's best to remove all hair and makeup initially.

Strategy Team

It might look good up close, but not as impressive from a distance. Be sure to check from different angles to avoid this.

Adjust Freckles and Skin

As a tip for character creation in Monster Hunter Wilds, you can use Makeup/Face Paint to remove spots and redness from the skin. Specifically, Type 16 can cover the entire face and give a really good looking vibe.

Strategy Team

Reducing the opacity too much can make the result look unnatural.

Add A Little Blue Color For Teeth

First, make the teeth pure white, then add a little bit of blue. If it's only white, a slight yellowish tint may remain, but by adding blue, you can create beautifully bright white teeth.

How to Upload and Download Character Designs

Go to Character Editing Screen

To redo your character customization, select 'Edit Character' from the title screen. A Character Edit Voucher is required. If you don't have one, you'll need to purchase it to make further edits.

How to Download Design

Select Edit Character From the Title Screen

On the title screen, move the cursor to the save data you want to customize and press the ▢ button to select Edit Character. Choose the character you want to customize and proceed to the editing screen.

Select Download Design and Enter Code

On the editing screen, press the R1 button twice to switch to the design screen. Select 'Download Design' and enter the code. Once the design is found, save it.

Up to 36 Character Designs Can Be Saved

You can save up to 36 character customization designs. From the sub-menu (△ button), you can also rename or reorder them.

Load the Design

After downloading a design, you can change appearance by selecting the design from Save/Load. Once you apply the change, you won’t be able to revert to your previous appearance, so be sure to save your own design beforehand.

How to Upload Designs

Save Character Design

Press the R1 button twice on the edit screen to switch to the character design screen. Save your character design using Save or Upload Design.

Upload

Move the cursor over the data you want to upload, press the △ button, and select Upload Design. Once you agree to make it shareable, the upload will be completed and a download password will be displayed. Take note that you can upload up to three character designs.
