Make Sure To Turn Off Auto Sheathe

Monster Hunter Wilds Auto Sheathe

Note that Auto Sheathe is turned on by default. When left on, it is possible that you may unintentionally sheathe your weapon while in combat. It's recommended to turn this setting off.

Set Subtitles And Voice Settings To Your Preferred Size

Monster Hunter Wilds Subtitle settings

Subtitles and voice settings do not impact greatly impact gameplay, so feel free to set them to the size you prefer. If you are playing on a TV in your living room, we recommend setting the subtitle size to a larger setting.

Change the Camera Sensitivity According to Your Preference

In the 'Camera' settings, you can adjust the general camera sensitivity as well as the sensitivity for actions like aiming and other specific movements. Try experimenting with different settings to find what feels best for you—such as slowing it down if it's too fast, or increasing it to 10 for faster movements.

Turn on Arachnophobia Mode if You Are Afraid to See Spiders

When you enable the Arachnophobia Mode, the appearance of certain small, multi-legged monsters and similar Endemic Life will change to a different creature instead, as shown in the video above. If you're not comfortable with spider-like creatures, it's a good idea to enable this setting.

Adjust Settings While Monitoring VRAM Usage on PC

Monster Hunter Wilds Estimated Vram Usage Image

If you're using the PC version, start by setting the image quality to high, then check the VRAM usage. If it's close to the limit, reduce the texture quality for terrain, grass, and other elements. The closer the VRAM usage is to the maximum, the heavier the processing will be, so it's recommended to leave some space for smoother performance.

Turn on Frame Generation

Frame GenerationON

FSR is recommended for upscaling. Frame generation can be enabled even if your RTX is not in the 40-series, making it easier to achieve 60 FPS or higher, even with a slight reduction in quality.

Change PS5 Graphic Settings According To Your Preference

※Changes in image quality will be more noticeable when moving.

1【Prioritize Resolution】
・Settings that prioritize resolution
・Enemy frame rates to low
┗Enemy movement is slightly less smooth
2【Prioritize Frame Rate】
・Settings that prioritize frame rates
Movement is much smoother when frame rate is prioritized
┗Image quality becomes rough and less detailed

When playing the game with the Prioritize Resolution settings, the game delivers better visuals and improved image quality. While, the Prioritize Frame Rate setting offers a smoother gameplay experience, though the image quality may appear rougher. Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preference: whether you care more about image quality or smoother frame rates.
