Lagiacrus

In the showcase video, a monster resembling Lagiacrus was spotted. It was the flagship monster of MH3 and a key creature representing underwater combat in the game. It is expected to be added in the Summer 2025 Update (2nd Wave).
Latest Update InformationMizutsune

Mizutsune will be making a return from Monster Hunter Rise. However, it won't be available in the full version at launch. Instead, it will be introduced as part of the Spring Free Title Update (1st Wave).
Mizutsune Release Date and WeaknessesBlangonga

Blangonga will be returning for the first time since Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. As a monster that inhabits cold regions, it will most likely appear in the new map, Iceshard Cliffs.
Blangonga Monster GuideRathalos

Monster Hunter's most iconic monster, Rathalos has been announced for Monster Hunter Wilds. Its appearance has changed slightly, with parts of its body glowing pale white.
Rathalos Monster GuideNerscylla

Nerscylla is back for the first time since Monster Hunter Cross. It has the ability to capture Gypceros, another returning monsters, and wear its skin.
Nerscylla Monster GuideGore Magala

Gore Magala, which appeared in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, will also appear in Wilds. It is a fearsome monster that destroys ecosystems with its Frenzy Virus.
Gravios

In an exclusive video by IGN, it's been confirmed that Gravios will return in Wilds. It seems to stay in Oil Seep Valley. It has a sturdy shell that sets it apart from other flying wyverns, and it can unleash powerful heat beam attacks from its mouth!
Gravios Monster GuideGypceros

The official website has confirmed Gypceros as a returning monster! It will also be huntable in the upcoming second Open Beta Test to be held on 2/7 (Fri) to 2/10 (Mon) and 2/14 (Fri) to 2/17 (Mon). Based on the end of the video, it seems that it also has its feigned death behavior in this game as well.
Gypceros GuideRathian

Rathian has been confirmed as it is shown in the official site's Returning Monsters List. Along with Rathalos, it is one of the monsters that appear in almost every Monster Hunter game, making its return highly anticipated.
Rathalos GuideCongalala

Congalala has been confirmed to return in Monster Hunter Wilds. Similar to Doshaguma, it will appear in packs of smaller members with an alpha leading them.
Congalala Monster GuideYian Kut-Ku

Yian Kut-Ku has also been revealed to come back in Monster Hunter Wilds! Having been absent from the series since Monster Hunter XX, it is now back after almost seven years. In the trailer, we can see several Yian Kut-Ku appear together so it's possible they may form packs.

Jhen Mohran

| Type | Elder Dragon |
|---|
The desert seen in the trailers with the ship moving across it is reminiscent of how Jhen Moran, an elder dragon, was fought in a previous title. This suggest possible battles involving sandboats and mining on its back again.
Maybe It Has Something To Do With The Sandstorm In This Game?
In past works, Jhen Moran was a monster that appeared with sandstorms. The sandstorm seen in the trailer could possibly come from an Elder Dragon like Jhen Moran.
Akura Vashimu

| Type | Carapaceon |
|---|
Akura Vashimu from MHF that requires both blunt and cut damage to defeat may also come back since Wilds allows to switch between two weapon types. Considering that Espinas from MHF recently appeared in Sunbreak, the possibility seems likely.
Dalamadur

| Type | Elder Dragon |
|---|
Dalamadur is an elder dragon from MH4 and MH4G could also make its comeback in Wilds. Its actual skeleton appears in Monster Hunter World's Rotten Vale could be foreshadowing to this.
Lagiacrus

| Type | Leviathan |
|---|
There is a small crocodile-like monster in the PV which could support the idea of a monster like Lagiacrus to be able to live on land. We do have skeletons of other Leviathan monsters such as Mizutsune and Almudron, so it's likely that it will show up especially since Lagiacrus won 3rd place in the Top Monster popularity contest.
The Arrival Of New Leviathans Raises The Possibility
The addition of new Leviathan monsters such as Balahara raises the expectation that Lagiacrus would return. The similarity of the skeletons also supports the idea that other Leviathans may return.
Nergigante

| Type | Elder Dragon |
|---|
Nergigante, Monster Hunter World's title monster, is also a candidate for revival. Since Wilds is a direct sequel to World and Iceborne, this makes it very likely. It's also a very popular monster, ranking 2nd in the Top Monster popularity contest.
Monoblos

| Type | Flying Wyvern |
|---|
Another potential monster that could appear in Windward Plains is Monoblos. It's very timely to see it again now since it hasn't appeared since MH4G. It could also show up with Diablos to create a strong Apex rivalry in Windward Plains.
Cephadrome

| Type | Piscine Wyvern |
|---|
The most likely Piscine Wyvern to appear in Wilds is Cephadrome. Wilds employ the idea of packs which Cephadrome has been seen to also have.
Nibelsnarf

| Type | Leviathan |
|---|
Nobelsnarf is another monster that has inhabited in the desert in past works. It could show up Windward Plains as it can easily traverse through the sandy field.
Gogmazios

| Type | Elder Dragon |
|---|
Gogmazios is covered in heavy oil, which might be related to the new map, Oil Seep Valley. However, if it were to return, there would be a question of how to handle its alternate name, Giant Halberd Dragon, given that it was named for carrying the Dragon Lance, which seems tricky
