Best Weapon Tier List (Beta Version)
The most powerful weapon types based on the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta were the Great Sword, Long Sword, Gunlance, Charge Blade, and Bow. Ease of use and high damage were considered in ranking them.

The Great Sword's aim can be adjusted during Focus Mode, making it easier and more stable to hit monsters. Additionally, it has Power Clash through Guard and Offset attacks.

High Damage Potential with Counters
The greatest strength of the Long Sword is its ability to combo offensive attacks without losing momentum with the use of counter and counter attacks. It takes getting used to, but once mastered, it's a very strong weapon. It has a high damage potential thanks to the Spirit Gauge.
Includes Excellent New Attacks & Minor Changes
Many of the new techniques in Wilds for the Long Sword are excellent. The Spirit Helmbreaker, a well-known high damage, has a new follow-up "Spirit Release Slash". The Spirit Charge technique can also be used to easily produce a roundslash. There are also other excellent new techniques and some welcome changes, such as the ability to cancel Spirit Helmbreaker in the middle of the move, which strengthens it.

One Of The Lightest Weapons While Being Able To Stun
The Sword and Shield is one of the lightest weapons in the game. It also has little openings in attacks, allowing for a small and agile stance. It can attack with the shield, which builds up Stun for a monster's head. it is also the only weapon type that can use items while in the drawn state, so it is recommended to those who are looking for a support-oriented weapon for multiplayer.

Difficult To Be Consistent Because Of Limitations Of Beta Test
The greatest strength of Dual Blades in Monster Hunter Wilds is its high attack rate, which makes it easy for it to apply Status Ailments. However, since only non-attribute weapons were available in the Beta version, it is difficult to deal damage compared to other weapon types.

Hammer is characterized by a variety of high damage techniques. In terms of damage per blow, it does lower damage than the Great Sword, but it does make up for it with its mobility. It also has a new move where it allows the user to move while maintaining their state.

The Hunting Horn is a weapon that provide excellent support through the use of songs, making it the best support weapon in multiplayer. It can also deal good damage if the player times the songs and attacks.

Stable, but Requires Skill to Deal Damage
The Lance has the best defense performance among all 14 weapon types, and its greatest strength is its stability. However, since its mobility is slow, it is necessary to get used to its unique playstyle, including making use of rushing attacks. However, it does not easily deal damage. If you get used to Lance, you will be able to defend while dealing powerful damage.

The Insect Glaive has a large number of moves and is easy to maneuver once you get used to it. It has the unique advantage of being able to leap and attack in the air by itself. However, it is very difficult to control because it is necessary to make use of the Insect and fight while using Focus Mode all the time.

Tracer Ammo Is Very Powerful
The Bow's new action "Tracer Ammo" is extremely powerful. Not only does the arrow allow the Hunter to hit the monster with its attacks, but also all arrows will deal critical damage.

The Heavy Bowgun is easy to use and can produce damage, and its strength is that it can Guard. If a monsters has an opening, you can use Ignition Mode's Wyvenheart to deal damage in one fell swoop.
