Nightflower Pollen Marathon is No Longer Possible

Retire Farming is No Longer Possible

As of Patch Ver.1.000.05.00, the regularity of the full moon cycle during Optional Quests has been changed in such a way that it is no longer possible to force full moons to appear continuously. This means that it is no longer possible to run Nightflower Pollen marathons using the traditional method.

Can Still Be Gathered in the Field

Although you can no longer force a continuous full-moon, the conditions under which Ephemeral Blossoms bloom and the full moon cycle remain unchanged. Therefore, it is still possible to repeat the process of setting the overworld to a state where a full moon appears and then gather 2 Nightflower Pollen.

How to Change to a Full Moon

How to Farm Nightflower Pollen (Post Update)

Restart Game Then Harvest on a Full Moon

Number of Points per Round
AcquiredNightflower Pollen: 2 pcs
 - Ancient Orb - Sword: 20 pcs
 - Ancient Orb - Armor: 40 pcs
 - Ancient Weapon Fragment: 30 pcs
ConsumedTime:Approximately 9 minutes
Guild Points:300pts

The most effective way to farm Night Flower Pollen is by setting the time to Full Moon and gathering. One run takes around 9 minutes in total and produces 2 pcs of Nightflower Pollen per round.

Recommended Locale is the Scarlet Forest

During a full moon, it is not possible to gather Nightflower Pollen across two maps. Therefore, you will need to choose between the Windward Plains and the Scarlet Forest.

Between these two, we recommend heading to Scarlet Forest since you can farm Guild Points and other items in addition to harvesting Nightflower Pollen.

Rest Until Evening

Monster Hunter Wilds - Resting Until Evening

If you rest until night, you will not be able to obtain the Nightflower Pollen. Make sure to select 'Evening' when resting as a full moon only occurs once the game transitions from evening to night. It doesn't matter what environment you choose.

Quit and Restart the Game

Monster Hunter Wilds - Restarting the Game

After resting and exiting the tent, exit the game and then start it up again right away. After loading into the game, it will be evening, but this process of quitting and restarting the game guarantees a full moon at night.

Return to Title Does Not Work

Selecting the Return to Title option does not force a full moon to occur. You will have to fully exit and restart the game in order to get a full moon once the game transitions from evening to night.

Locate Ephemeral Blossoms

Before starting the run, make sure to learn the locations of both the Ephemeral Blossoms. The first location is beyond the vine you climb in the Southwestern portion of Area 14. The second location is in Area 18; when you fast travel there, it will be right in front of you.

Collect Other Items While Waiting

Monster Hunter Wilds - Nightflower Pollen Farming Route

There is a waiting time of approximately 7 minutes until the Ephemeral Blossoms that produce Nightflower Pollen blooms. The Scarlet Forest is an easy map for item gathering and collecting guild points, so you can gather other items besides the Nightflower Pollen while waiting.

Item Trade at Base Camp After Gathering

Once you have collected both Nightflower Pollen, the run is complete. After returning to the base camp, speak to Nata and check the Item Trade lineup. After that, repeat the entire process from Step 3 by resting at the camp until evening, and then exit and restart the game.
