Ore Locations & How to FarmRecommended Ore Farming Route

The best route for collecting ores begins at the upper camp Mineral Cave and continues through the mid-level areas with Mining Outcrops. Once you've gathered ores from the Mining Outcrop in Area 2, fast travel to the camp in Area 6, Valley Hideout.

Use Seikret to jump from Upper Area 5 to the Mining Outcrop in Mid-level Area 3. Once airborne, glide to land in the area as seen in the video.

In the lower area, Area 14, you can catch the rare Goldenfish and Platinumfish. These fish can be sold for a high price early on, making fishing a good way to earn money.

The Environmental Features you can find in the Windward Plains are the Falling Boulder, Vine Trap, and Great Thunderbug. These can be used to knock down or restrain large monsters, so be sure to make use of them if they are nearby.
Knock Down Monsters with Falling Boulder
The Falling Boulder is an Environmental Feature that deals heavy damage and can knock down large monsters when hit. You can use the Slinger or Bowgun Ammo to trigger the Falling Boulder.
Restrain Monsters with Vine Trap
The Vine Trap is an Environmental Feature that allows you to trap large monsters for a certain period of time.
Restrain Monsters with Great Thunderbug
The Great Thunderbug is an Environmental Feature that can only be used during a Sandstorm. It can restrain large monsters with electricity for a certain period, similar to a Shock Trap.
