Hunter - The Main Character

The protagonist and the character you play as. In Monster Hunter Wilds, players are assigned to the Forbidden Lands Research Commission, to help discover and investigate the local flora and fauna in this unexplored region.

Palico - Hunting Companion

Palicos are cat-like creatures capable of speaking with humans and are the hunters' most trusted partners. Palico's provide hunting support as well as the occasional funny banter.

Alma - The Handler

The Handler is the one who manages monster hunt requests, permissions, and quests. She'll accompany players on quests and provide valuable support and knowledge throughout the hunt.

Gemma - The Smithy

Every hunter needs a reliable smith to forge and upgrade their weapons. In Monster Hunter Wilds, Gemma is the go-to for all weapon and armor crafting needs in the Forbidden Lands.

Is Gemma Related To The Smithy's Daughter In MH4?

Given the similar appearances and being in the same line of work, in addition to the jacket reminiscent of the commander's in Monster Hunter 4, there might be a connection between the two.

Nata - The Mysterious Child

A mysterious young boy that accompanies players on their journey.

Olivia - Investigation Team Member

Olivia is a hammer-wielding member of the Forbidden Lands Investigation Team, who handles special requests from the guild. She also assists the main character as a Support Hunter.

Athos - Olivia's Palico

Athos is Olivia's trusted Palico partner.

Erik

Erik is the handler of the Astrum Unit and a well-renowned biologist.

Fabius - Leader of the Hunter's Guild

Fabius is the leader of the Hunter's Guild. After discovering Nata, he formed the Forbidden Lands Investigation Squad and organized and appointed the individual squads. He was once a distinguished Hunter.

Related to MH4's Character?

Fabius looks very similar to the Ace Lancer from Monster Hunter 4 and the First Rookie in Monster Hunter World, so there's a chance that he could be related to them.

Werner

A blacksmith belonging to the Astrum Unit. Werner is well-versed in physics and technology and an expert in weapons technology.

Rove

A Wudwud who wanders the wilds far from his home.

Windsong Village Chief

This character is seen teaching the main character at Kunafa in Windsong Village.
