Isolate Target Monster

Doshaguma are new Fanged Beasts introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds. They are shown to form and attack in packs, requiring hunters to break up their groups to hunt them. The use of Dung Pod and Large Dung Pods can be effective for separating them.

Normal Monster Appears in Single

Individual Monster

Not all monsters are in packs; only the boss Monster does. If you're main objective is the material, it is recommended to do the quest to hunt an individual Monster.

Wounds will Open when Enraged

When Doshaguma becomes enraged, all of its Wounds will open. During this state, use Focus Mode, to the target Wounds, and stagger it.

Play at the Sides or Behin of the Monster

Doshaguma's forward Attack is particularly powerful, so focus on attacking from the sides and back. If you can create wounds in various places and destroy them, you can efficiently deal damage and get materials since Wound opens every time Doshaguma gets angry.

Make Use of the Falling Rocks & Traps

Around the areas where Doshaguma moves, there may be some terrain-based traps that can be triggered by using a Hook Slinger. With this, you can make rocks fall and even create traps. Make sure that you take advantage of these during battle.

How to Fight Doshaguma

1▼ Avoid Standing in Front While Enraged
2▼ Watch for Follow-Up After Dash Attack
3▼ Avoid Ground Smash
4▼ Avoid the front legs
5▼ Evade the outside arm when it swings upward
6▼ Throws other monsters

Avoid Standing in Front While Enraged

▲ Dash Attack comes out quickly, making it easy to be hit by follow-up attacksks

When Doshaguma becomes enraged, its attack speed increases. To reduce the risk of being hit, avoid fighting directly in front of it. Instead, focus on staying to the side or behind it to minimize exposure to its powerful attacks.

Watch for Follow-up After Dash Attack

Doshaguma has two types of Dash Attacks: one that ends with a Dash Attack and another that transitions into a spinning follow-up If you try to approach after avoiding it, you're likely to encounter a powerful counterattack. To avoid this, always check Doshaguma's movements after its attack before moving in to deal damage

Attack when It Falls to the Ground

Once the Doshaguma falls, it will stay down for about 3 to 4 seconds after doing another Dash Attack, hence giving you a sizable damage window. Avoid the Dash Attack by moving to the sides.

Avoid Ground Smash

Once the Doshaguma stands on its hind legs while enraged, it will perform a powerful ranged attack, causing the ground to crack and rocks to be thrown. The range of the crack extends near its hind legs, so remember back away a short distance.

Avoid the Front Legs

It swings its two front legs in anger and you should evade by going sideways. Upon evading, a possible third attack may occur. The swipe is large and it is often followed by another attack, so it’s safest to quickly move to evade once you see it lift its arms for a swing. If you are standing very close range, it can be effective to dive underneath the Doshaguma, and move behind.

Evade Outside of the Arm During Uppercut

Doshaguma may conduct an attack which involves an uppercut finisher after 2 swipe attacks. This attack is extremely powerful so make sure to evade the arms when it starts to swing upward to avoid damage.

Throws Other Monsters

If Doshaguma runs toward a small monster during combat, it will throw that monster at you. If you see Doshaguma moving toward nearby monsters, evade sideways to avoid the attack.
