How to Collect Ore
Obtain from Mining Outcrop

Monster Hunter Wilds' Ore can be obtained from the Mining Outcrop that appears on the map. You can check this by opening the Map, and if you select Mining Outcrop in Filter Icons, you can also highlight them. If you set a Mining Outcrop as a waypoint, your Seikret will automatically take you there.
Seikret Mount GuideReturn from Quest to Respawn
It is recommended to collect Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds using Optional Quests. Unlike resting which costs 500 points, the materials on the map respawn if you return from the quest, so you can collect them efficiently. Also, they will spawn regardless of High/Low Rank, so it doesn't matter which quest you choose.
Use Skills to Collect More
Method | Effect |
---|---|
![]() | - Geologist Lv3 - Obtain 1 additional material |
![]() | - Gatherer Meal - Obtain 1 additional material randomly |
Geologist's skill level 3 gives you 1 extra material every time you gather Ore. On the other hand, the Gatherer Meal also gives you 1 extra randomly. The skills effect can be stacked, so it is possible to get three Ore from one place. The Geologist skill can be activated with the Chainmail Equipment, which you have from the beginning, so remember to equip it at the camp before mining.
Chainmail Skills and EffectsGatherer Meal is Not Necessary
Geologist will always increase the amount you get, but Gatherer Meal activates randomly. Also, Truffled Conga is difficult to obtain, so Gatherer Meal does not necessarily need to be activated.
Obtain as Quest Reward

You can also get Ore as a quest reward. The type and probability of obtaining Ore will vary depending on the type of Quest.
