The main reward for completing The Shining Storm Rages in Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) is a limited edition pendant that will be distributed amongst all participants at a later date.

There are a total of 3 different pendants that you can acquire by completing the challenge quest. 2 participation rewards, and an A Rank award. Since the requirement for being in the top 10,000 has since been removed, you can focus on achieving an A ranking at your own pace!
Accept Quest from Arena Counter
The Shining Storm Rages is a Challenge Quest
, hence participating players must accept the quest from the Arena Counter located within the Grand Hub.
Tips for The Shining Storm Rages
・Since the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau has yet to be released, we are including strategy information for the standard Rey Dau.
Focus on Damage and Stun Resistance
As a Free Challenge Quest, you can tackle The Shining Storm Rages with any equipment builds you choose. If you're aiming to achieve an A ranking, we recommend a build that focuses on dealing as much damage as possible.
Note that if you cart/faint, it will result in a significant loss of time, so we also recommend slotting in Stun Resistance wherever possible!
Best Build and Armor for Each WeaponVulnerable After Lightning Strikes
After Rey Dau uses a lightning strike with its horns, its horns become temporarily wounded. At this time, you should rush towards its head and use a Focus Strike to knock it down.
This strategy can be used more than once in a single hunt, so pay attention to when Rey Dau attacks and mount a counter offensive!
Prepare Flash Pods
Timely use of the Slinger and Flash Pods can effectively ground a flying Rey Dau, leaving it vulnerable to attacks for a few seconds.
Note that previous Arch-Tempered monsters were resistant to Flash Pods (previously known as Flash Bombs), so it is possible that it may not work on the Arch-Tempered Rey Dau.
Utilize Environmental Hazards
In Area 17, there is an environmental hazard called the Falling Boulder
that you can use to deal a lot of damage to Rey Dau since it moves to this area often.
Once Rey Dau moves to this area, approach it while wearing the Ghillie Mantle and use the Slinger to trigger the hazard.
Look for Sharp Crystal Pillars in Area 5
If the hunt starts in Area 5, immediately look for Falling Boulders
that you can use to deal damage to Rey Dau. This area will have multiple Falling Boulders, so try to use them all before Rey Dau moves to a different area.
