What Are Guardian Monsters?

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) Guardian Monsters are unique ancient creatures that set them apart from regular species. These formidable beings play a key role in the captivating storyline of MH Wilds, making the game's lore and progression more interesting.

Mostly located at the Ruins of Wyveria

These ancient Guardian Monsters are located at the Ruins of Wyveria, which you can access the area from Chapter 3 onwards.

Wound inflicted recovers Overtime

The Guardian Monsters heal automatically over time, even when heavily wounded. However, if you attack their wounds, it will cause major damage, hence creating a strategic attack opportunity.

Exhaust does not Work

減気攻撃

Exhaust attacks do not work with the Guardian Monster, and the exhaust-boosting skills will also be ineffective. It is recommended that you equip the right weapons and armor upon fighting these Guardian Monsters.

Immune to Dung Pod

こやし

Dung Pods are ineffective against Guardian Monsters, so make sure to keep in mind that you cannot use the dung pods to get through the battle when they appear in a herd, if more than one appears, or when they are surrounded.

Get a Series of Armor from these Guardian Monsters

A series of armor can be crafted from the material drops of each Guardian Monster. The ability of the armor differs from an armor that are obtained from drops of the normal monsters.
