2▼ Trigger Chain Explosions with Crystals
3▼ Accumulate Damage to Discharge the Charge
4▼ Actively Destroy Wounds for Opportunities
5▼ Weakness Exposure During Mouth Attacks
6▼ Vulnerable After Movement When Replenishing

Beware of High Firepower Thunder Attacks

In Monster Hunter Wilds, Guardian Fulgur mainly uses high-damage Thunder Element attacks. Due to their wide range, focus on evading as soon as you spot the attack motion.

Trigger Chain Explosions with Crystals

Guardian Fulgur creates Wyvern Milk crystals that explode in response to Element attacks. Be cautious, as Guardian Fulgur's Thunder Element attacks can trigger a chain reaction of explosions.

Crystals Explode from Its Own Element Attacks

Hitting the crystals with your own Element attacks will instead deal damage to Guardian Fulgur. Actively destroy them with Element Slinger Ammo to create damage opportunities.

Accumulate Damage to Discharge the Charge

The charged state of the Guardian Fulgur subspecies can be canceled by dealing a certain amount of damage, and it can also be knocked down at the same time. Once the charged state is canceled it becomes significantly weakened.

Actively Destroy Wounds for Opportunities

Like other Constructs, the wounds will naturally heal over time, so there's little benefit to leaving them untreated. You can expect materials and the possibility of a knockdown from breaking the Wounds, so make sure to actively destroy them.

Weakness Exposure During Mouth Attacks

The Guardian Fulgur exposes its weak points during attacks with its mouth that involve energy. Since these attacks are performed while moving, it can be difficult to land a hit, but using Focus Strike can create an opportunity, so targeting it might be a viable option.

Vulnerable After Movement When Replenishing

After the energy mist dissipates, Guardian Fulgur will recharge its energy on spots with a mottled pattern on the ground, leaving it vulnerable for an extended period. This is a great opportunity to safely target its head, so take advantage and attack aggressively.

How to Fight Guardian Fulgur Anjanath

1Watch for Wylk Crystals
2Dodge the Electrified Charge Sidewards
3Beware of Tail Sweeps
4Observe Anjanath's Mouth
5Attack from Underneath
6Avoid the Pinning Attack

Watch for Wylk Crystals

Be aware that the Wylk Crystals generated by the Anjanath subspecies will react to Anjanath's lightning attacks, causing a massive explosion. Even if you dodge Anjanath's attack, you are still at risk of taking follow-up damage from the crystal detonation, so stay vigilant and keep your distance to minimize the number of times you get hit.

Detonate Crystals Yourself

The crystals can also be detonated by using elemental slinger ammo. By dealing with the crystals before they can be react with Anjanath's attacks, Hunters can essentially guarantee their safety while also aiming to deal damage. Elemental slinger ammo is often found in each area, so be sure to pick it up.

Dodge the Electrified Charge Sidewards

▲ Avoid dodging forward if there are Wylk Crystals in that area

Anjanath has signature charge attack where it presses its mouth against the ground and lunges towards the Hunter several times. This attack has slight tracking where it can follow movements to its left or right sides. It's safest to move diagonally forward to slip past it, or make large left or right movements to avoid it.

Beware of Tail Sweeps

When standing behind Anjanath, be cautious of the tail slam or sweeping attack when you see it turn its head to look at you. If you notice the telegraph in time, you can dive underneath towards its legs and you’ll often avoid getting hit.

Observe Anjanath's Mouth

When Fulgur Anjanath's mouth becomes charged with electricity, pay attention to its movements. It will perform attacks with its mouth that trigger explosions of the ground crystals, so it's safest to quickly create some distance.

Attack from Underneath

Anjanath's height makes it so that there are many situations where its chest is left exposed. Many attacks will not hit you if while you stand directly below Anjanath, so until you're used to Anjanath's telegraphs, you can try to focus on attacking from below.

Avoid the Pinning Attack

When Fulgur Anjanath opens its mouth wide, it’s preparing for a pinning attack. By quickly rolling underneath towards Anjanath's rear, you can avoid this attack. If you end up getting pinned, determine the direction of its face and repeatedly dodge toward the opposite side.
