The Monster Hunter Wilds' Beta Tests will be available early for PS5 and PS Plus subscribers on October 28, 2024 (PT). It will be available across all platforms on November 1, 2024 (PT).

Doshaguma

You can fight Doshaguma by selecting the Doshaguma Hunt quest. This will be located in Windward Plains, which players will be free to explore.
Doshaguma Monster GuideChatacabra
You can fight Chatacabra by selecting the Story Trial Quest. In this quest, you will go through the tutorial and a part of the story before being able to fight Chatacabra at the end.

Rey Dau

If you explore Windward Plains in the quest to defeat Doshaguma, it might be possible to fight Rey Dau. The monster could be fought in the demo play in Tokyo Game Show, so it's possible it might appear in the Beta Test as well.

Full Character Customization

During the Beta Test, you will be able to fully customize your Hunter and Palico just as you would in the game's full version. You can redo this as many times as you can during the Beta Test. Players can also carry over their character creation data into the full version of the game.
Story Trial Quest

Players will be able to play through the opening cutscene and basic tutorial during the Story Trial Quest. At the end of it, players can fight against Chatacabra.
Doshaguma Hunt Quest

In this quest, players will be able to face against an pack of Doshaguma and hunt its alpha. Windward Plains can be explored during this quest.
Doshaguma Monster GuideMultiplayer is Available on All Platforms
Multiplayer is available for the Story Trial Quest and the Doshaguma Hunt Quest by making use of the SOS flare. Crossplay is also available. NPC support can also be used as up to 4 of them can join you in your quests.
Can Also Add Friends
In the Beta Test, players can add friends across all platforms. However, this cannot be transferred in the full version.
Beta Test - Data Transfer & Rewards
Character Creation Data Transfer
The Beta Test character creation will be the same as that of the full version of the game. Your character can then be carried over to the full version in its release.
Other Data & Added Friend Cannot Be Transferred
Do note that other data, progress, and added friends cannot be transferred to the full version of the game.

If you play the Monster Hunter Wilds, you will receive a special Pendant and an item pack for your participation! To get the rewards, play the full version of the game on the same platform as the one you played the beta test in.

How to Download on Playstation 5
- Search Monster Hunter Wilds on the PS Store
- Go to the Beta Test Page
- Download the Beta Test
Open the PS Store from the PS5 home screen and go to the Monster Hunter Wilds page. You can find it in PS Store's latest titles, or you can find it by using the search function.
Once you get to the Monster Hunter Wilds page, choose the option for the Beta Test.
Once you are at the Beta Test page, click on the download button. Since a lot of free space is required, if you do not have enough space, it will not download.
How to Download on Steam

- Download Beta Test
First, open Steam and use the search function to find Monster Hunter Wilds' page. Click on the Beta Test page to open it.
Once you open the Beta Test page, all you have to do is click the install button. You will need a lot of free space, so if you don't have enough space, delete the unnecessary files.
