Irreversible elements in Monster Hunter Wilds include story and mission quests, dialogue conversations with NPCs, challenge quest reward pendants, and the history of used weapons, which cannot be deleted. Proceed with caution as you progress through these elements.
Story and Mission Quest

Mission quests required for story progression cannot be replayed once completed. While you can revisit story cutscenes, the detailed interactions and conversations that drive the narrative forward are irreversible elements.
Full Story Walkthrough GuideSome Bosses Can Only Be Defeated Once
The Low Rank Guardian Arkveld, which you will fight during the story, can only be battled once, so make sure to remember that. The Arkveld you can fight in High Rank is treated as a separate entry in the field guide from the Low Rank version.
NPC Dialogue

During conversations with NPCs, the contents of dialogue options cannot be checked again once you progress. If you choose the yellow option, the conversation will end, so if there are other options you are interested in, select the white options first.
Do Choices & Dialogue Options Matter?Challenge Quest Reward Pendant

You can obtain Pendants as rewards for Challenge Quests. Some Pendants are exclusive and only available for a limited time through these Challenge Quests. While these Challenge Quest rewards may become available through other content in the future, they cannot be obtained again until they reappear.
Arena Quest GuideWeapon Upgrades Cannot Be Undone

Weapon enhancement rollback, which was possible in past Monster Hunter games, is not available in Wilds. If you enhance a weapon, you cannot revert it back to its previous state but you can produce the related weapons in the tree if you have the materials.
Weapon ListCannot Delete Weapon Use History

The weapon history displayed in the Hunter Profile cannot be deleted, making it a permanent record. The use of secondary weapons and designated primary weapons in Challenge Quests also counts toward this history, so players concerned about their weapon records should proceed with caution.
Hunter Profile GuidePlatform Used

Save data in Monster Hunter Wilds is stored separately for each platform, so you cannot share data between different platforms. For example, transferring data from the Steam version to the PS5 version is not possible, so choose what platform you want to play on carefully.
Save Data Guide & How to Transfer SavesPlayer ID
The player ID linked to the save data cannot be changed later. It is created at the same time as the save data, so if you're particular about the ID, you'll need to recreate the save data until you get the ID you want.

Rematch With Zoh Shia

Zoh Shia, who appears in Chapters 3-5, is now available for rematch after the 1st Free Title Update. In addition to the reappearance in Chapter 6-2, a Field Survey is now unlocked at HR50 or higher, so you can defeat Zoh Shia at any time.
Zoh Shia GuideEvent Quest

Event Quests are special quest missions available for a limited time. Event Quests are frequently rerun, so if you missed one, you’ll likely have another chance to take it on next time it becomes available again. However, there’s a chance that some Event Quests may not return, so it is recommended to participate in them during the event period whenever possible.
All Event Quests ListSide Missions Have No Time Limits

Side Missions have no time restrictions, so you can accept and complete them at your own pace. Once unlocked, they remain available indefinitely, making it easy to clear them all after finishing the main story.
Name Change and Character Creation

When you hover over a save data on the Select Save Data screen, an option for character editing appears, allowing you to completely redo character creation, including the name. To redo a character or Palico, you will need a Character Edit Voucher or a Palico Edit Voucher respectively.
Note That There Are Purchase Limits
Edit Vouchers come in three types. One is a free voucher, Hunter/Palico Vouchers sold separately, and the third is a set of three Hunter/Palico Vouchers. Once you purchase all three types, you will not be able to repurchase them. Keep in mind that you can make a total of seven changes for both Hunter and Palico combined.
