In Monster Hunter Wilds, the permanent choices include "the platform you play on," "NPC dialogue choices," and "the boss battle in Chapter 3-5." Be careful when progressing through them.

Save data in Monster Hunter Wilds is stored separately for each platform, so you cannot share data between different platforms. For example, transferring data from the Steam version to the PS5 version is not possible, so choose your starting platform wisely.

Conversation with NPCs

During conversations with NPCs, the contents of dialogue options cannot be checked again once you progress. If you choose the yellow option, the conversation will end, so if there are other options you are interested in, select the white options first.

Once you defeat the bosses that appear in chapters 3-5 of the story, you cannot fight them again.You will need to create new save data to fight them again.

You Can Only Defeat Guardian Arkveld Once

The Low-Rank Guardian Arkveld you defeat in the story can only be fought once. You can fight High Rank Arkveld but it is considerd a different entity in the Encyclopedia.

Weapon Upgrades Cannot Be Undone

Weapon enhancement rollback, which was possible in past Monster Hunter games, is not available in Wilds. If you enhance a weapon, you cannot revert it back to its previous state and you will need to start gathering materials and production from the start.

Name Change and Character Makeup

When you hover over a save data on the "Select Save Data" screen, an option for character editing appears, allowing you to completely redo character creation, including the name. To redo a character or Palico, you will need a 'Character Edit Voucher' or a 'Palico Edit Voucher' respectively.
