How To Switch Weapons

Switch With Right D-pad

Inputs	Press (X key for keyboard)

You can switch weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds by pressing the right directional pad button or X on the keyboard. When switching, you will always be riding a Seikret, and it is not possible to switch weapons while dismounted from Seikret.

Dismount Seikret After Switching Weapons

Make sure the weapon switch is fully complete before dismounting Seikret and returning to battle. There is a brief animation before the switch finalizes, so dismounting too early will cancel the switch.

New Weapon's Skill Will Activate

If you switch weapons, the skill of the weapon you have will be activated. Therefore, if you do not attach decorations to your secondary weapon, you will not be able to fully demonstrate its performance. Also, you cannot switch armor so consider the compatibility when choosing your secondary weapon.

How To Change Weapons

Change Weapons In Camp

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can change weapons from the Equipment Change menu in Base Camp or Pop-Up Camp. You can also change the secondary weapon you carry with Seikret here. In addition to weapons, you can also change armor.

Camp Guide

Cannot Switch Equipped Weapons

You can change the weapons you bring with you at camp, but you cannot switch the primary and secondary weapons you have equipped. If you want to switch your primary and secondary weapon, you need to remove the weapons first.
