How to Change Name

1▼ Return to the Title Screen and Select Edit Hunter
2▼Select Rename on the bottom of the Settings.
3▼Select Confirm to apply changes to your name.

Return to the Title Screen and Select Edit Hunter

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can change your name from the Hunter Edit on the Title Screen. After returning to the title screen, select "Game Start" → "Edit Character" → "Edit Hunter".

Palico Name Can Also Be Changed

If you want to change the name of your Palico instead of your character, you can select "Edit Palico".

When you open Hunter's Edit Screen, select "Rename" at the bottom of the edit settings.

After changing your desired name and customizing your hunter, a pop-up screen “Apply Changes?” will appear to confirm your action. Once applied, the name will be changed successfully.

It Is Possible That Name Changing Is Paid Content On Release Version Of Game

In Trial version, you can change your name for free, but in the final version, there is a chance that 'Appearance Ticket' is required. which can only be obtained through in-game purchases. Make sure the name that you choose in the beta test is final so you won't regret it later.

There Were Free Appearance Tickets On Previous Versions

In the previous game, Monster Hunter Rise, Appearance Tickets were once distributed for free, so there is a possibility that the tickets will be distributed the same way in Monster Hunter Wilds.

You Might Be Banned For Having Offensive Or Copyrighted Names

The name you set will be visible to many players, so avoid using names that are offensive or that misuses the names of another player. In the worst-case scenario, violating this policy will result in a ban from the game Monster Hunter Wilds.
