How to Hide Your Name
Anonymous Display Setting

If you enable the anonymous display setting, other players' names won’t be visible, instead, they’ll show up as "Hunter," but keep in mind that their character names will still appear on the Hunter Profile screen.
How to Enable Anonymous Display

To hide other players' names, head to the title screen and go to Options → Game Settings → Anonymize Names of Other Players' Names. Just keep in mind that you can’t change this setting while playing, so you’ll need to return to the title screen first.
Cannot Hide Your Own Name
This setting only affects how other players’ names show up on your screen, it doesn’t make yours anonymous. If you’re going to play in multiplayer mode, it’s best to choose a name that’s appropriate for others to see.
What to Do if Names Don't Show
Can’t see other players’ names? Chances are the anonymous display setting is enabled. Go to the title screen and take a look at your settings to fix it.
