Daughters of Carabosse Strategy Guide
Prep: Equip Fire Element Weapon if Available
Monster | Fire | Water | Thunder | Ice | Dragon |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() |
The target monster for the event quest 'Daughters of Carabosse', Lala Barina, is weak to the Fire element. Using Fire element weapons makes the hunt easier and completes faster, so be sure to equip them if you have a set prepared.
Also Prepare Flash Pods and Traps

Since the hunt involves two Lala Barinas, be sure to prepare Flash Pods and Traps to control their actions. If possible, bring items that will boost your attack like 'Might Seed', 'Demon Powder', and 'Mega Demondrug.' This will make the hunt even more efficient.
At Start: Separate the Two Monsters with the Central Fence
When the quest begins, first activate the central fence in the area to separate the two Lala Barinas. It's important to ensure the Lala Barinas are away from each other before activating the fence.
Hunt the First Monster Using Flash Pods and Traps
Once separated by the fence, aim to hunt the first one quickly. It's important to use Flash Pods and Traps to restrain the first monster's movements and defeat it before the fence deactivates.
Aim for a Knockdown by Breaking Leg Wounds
If Wounds appear on Lala Barina's legs, aim for a knockdown using Focus Strike. This will temporarily stop Lala Barina's movement, creating an attack opportunity.
Aim for a Knockdown by Breaking the Petals
When Lala Barina becomes enraged, its body opens up like rose petals. Breaking these opened petals guarantees a knockdown, creating an attack opportunity, so actively aim to break them when they open.
Beware of Paralysis-Inducing Needles and Cotton
When enraged and its petals are open, be cautious as the frequency of attacks using Paralysis-inducing needles and scattering cotton increases significantly. If paralyzed, rapidly move the L-stick to recover faster.
Paralysis Triggers After Two Hits
Lala Barina's attacks with paralysis significantly increase buildup on the first hit, and trigger about 7 seconds of paralysis on the second hit. The Paralysis buildup decreases over time, so try to avoid getting hit by Paralysis attacks consecutively.
