How to Search for Black Flame & Location
Location Of Black Flame
The Black Flame, during Long Forgotten Flame quest, walks around. In our play, we found the monster at Area 9 but there has been reports of it appearing at area 15 as well. Follow the steps below to get to easily track Black Flame.
How to get to Black Flame's Area?
- From Oilwell Basin's Base Camp, head to Area 7 and examine the tar excretions and half-digested food.
- Follow the scout bug and it will lead you to the next set of clues.
- Continue following the scout bug until you reach the boss.
Find the first clues at Area 7

You can find the first clues of the Black Flame whereabouts at Area 7 of Oilwell Basin.
After finding the first clue, follow Scout Bug
Once you find the initial clue, you just need to follow the scout bug until you find more traces of the boss. After finding 2~3 clues, the boss will be marked on the map. A quest will start after approaching the Black Flame so make sure to prepare for battle.
Members of the Link Party are not able to track the boss
If you are not the host of a Link Party, you will not be able to track the boss on your map even if the boss was discovered by the Leader or other members. Make sure to communicate with your party!
