How to Change Hunter's Gender

To change your character's gender in Monster Hunter Wilds, use a Character Edit Voucher on the save data selection screen to edit your character.

Edit the Character

First, make sure you have a Character Edit Voucher, then go to the save data selection screen. By choosing Edit Character, you can change your gender and appearance.

Get One Free Voucher

Only one Character Edit Voucher is available for free on each platform's store. Additional vouchers will require a purchase, so be careful when changing your character's gender.

Select Preset Model

Preset Number	Gender
1-12	Male
13-24	Female

Once you enter the editing screen, select a number from the model presets. Numbers 1 to 12 are male, and numbers 13 to 24 are female models. Choose one that matches the gender you want to switch to.

Edit Your Appearance and Name

In the editing screen, you can also edit your appearance, voice, name, and various other options. You can start your character creation from scratch, allowing you to adjust every detail to craft a character that fits your style.

Save Changes to Customized Appearance

After completing the settings, you can apply them by clicking the Save Changes button. Please note that if you select the Discard All Changes option, the changes will not be saved.

Additional Edit Vouchers Cost Money

You can obtain one 'Character Edit Voucher' for free, but any subsequent tickets will incur a fee. Be careful not to use them unnecessarily.

Paid Edit Voucher packs cannot be purchased multiple times. Currently, you can get one voucher for free and six through paid options, allowing for a maximum of seven gender changes.

Cannot Change Gender from the Tent

You can change your appearance at the in-game tent, including your hairstyle and makeup, but not your gender. To change your gender, return to the title screen and go to the save data selection screen.

Gender Differences

No Differences Other Than Appearance

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are no differences between genders aside from appearance. Since there are no advantages or disadvantages, feel free to choose the look you like best.

Armor Can Be Equipped Regardless of Gender

In past Monster Hunter titles, armor differed depending on the character's gender, but in this game, any armor can be equipped regardless of gender.
