The Peony Sparklerjelly in Monster Hunter Wilds appears in Areas 13 and 14 of the Oilwell Basin. It only spawns during the Plenty weather, but due to its large size and the way it floats gently through the air, it’s easy to spot when it appears.

Reset Area by Switching Maps if You Can't Find It

If the Peony Sparklerjelly isn’t there, fast travel to another map and then return to the Oilwell Basin. This will reset the endemic life spawns, so keep switching maps until it appears.

Set Up a Pop-up Camp in Area 13 or 14

If you set up a Pop-Up Camp in advance at the Area 13 Limestone Cave or Area 14 Mining Outcrop Cave, it will be easier to reach the spawn location. Setting one up is especially recommended when resetting by switching maps, as it helps reduce travel time and frustration.

Peony Sparklerjelly is a giant EndemicLife, but it can be captured using Capture Net. It will not run away if approached, so Ghillie Mantle is not necessary.

Climb to the Top and Catch It

Peony Sparklerjelly may be high up and the Capture Net may not be able to reach it. move to the high ground where the Pop-Up Camp in the Mining Outcrop Cave in Area 14 is before using the Capture Net there.

Wait for the Peony Sparklerjelly

If there is no available high grounda, you will have to wait for the Peony Sparklerjelly to come down. Since the exact moment of its appearance is likely unknown, there isn't much that can be done apart from patiently waiting for it.

Do Not Shoot at It with a Slinger

Don't shoot at it with your Slinger just because you're in a high place. Hitting it with any damaging item or ammo, such as the Throwing Knife, will defeat it and make you unable to capture it.

The tiny beads of light within them are actually eggs and larvae, so it's believed that these creatures are entirely female. This suggests that they belong to the same species as the yellow Sparklerjelly, which are entirely male. That being said, it's exceptionally rare for jellyfish to have such extreme differences between sexes.
