How to Access Crossplay
Requires Setting Changes and Link Parties
To access crossplay in Monster Hunter Wilds you have to setup crossplay settings and create a link party. Once these requirements are met, you can play with people on other platforms.
Follow These Steps to Access Crossplay
- Enable crossplay in the title menu
- Ask for the Hunter ID of the person you want to invite
- Open the link party invitation menu
- Enter their Hunter ID
- Invite to environmental llnks
- Change quest settings
- Accept and participate in quest
You can enable crossplay in the options on the title screen. Select "Crossplay Settings", the second option from the bottom of the "Game Settings" tab and select "Enabled."
Ask the person joining the link party to share their Hunter ID. Your Hunter ID will be displayed in the upper left corner when you open 'Hunter Profile' in the menu. If your ID is not displayed, please switch the display using R3. If the other Hunter is already in your friend's list, ID confirmation is not is not required.
To form a link party, select Invite to Link Party from the Link Party menu.
On the link party invitation screen, display the 'Hunter ID' search screen, enter the other party's Hunter ID, and invite them to the link party.
Invite Friends From Your Friends List
If the other person is already a friend, invite them from the Hunter Friend List, which is the fifth button from the left on the Link Party invitation screen.
After forming a link party, you can invite everyone to the environmental link. Here, you will be able to explore the same area,even if you have not received the quest.
Talk to Alma, the receptionist, and select "Order/Participate in a Quest." Click "Settings" at the top and set Platform Permissions to All Platforms.
Once you have created a link party, accept a quest. When the quest is accepted, a notification will automatically be sent to all link members. Other members can join the quest directly via the notification.

You can view notifications in the "Recruitment Notification List." To join the quest, navigate to the Communications menu and select "Recruitment Notification List."

You Can Also Change This Setting In the Game's Quest Menu
When accepting a new quest, you can adjust crossplay settings under the Quest Counter's "Platform Permissions." To enable crossplay, set it to "All Platforms" and if not select "Your Platform".
