緋の森のエリア8洞窟湖のキャンプ場所
緋の森のエリア16遺跡内部のキャンプ場所

The first step is to set up Pop-Up Camps in both Area 8 (Cave Lake) and Area 18 (Inside the Ruins) of the Scarlet Forest.) These Pop-Up Camp locations will be unlocked after clearing Chapter 1-3 and can be installed through the Support Desk Palico at Base Camp.

Camp Locations in the Scarlet Forest

Change the Environment to Plenty

環境を豊穣期に変更しておく

If the environment in your Scarlet Forest appears to be Fallow or Inclemency, it is best to change it to Plenty by Resting at the Pop-Up Camp. Fish will still spawn in other weather, but fish will appear more often and in greater numbers during the Plenty. It'll also be good to return the environment to Plenty once it ends the first time.

Capture the Platinumfish on the Right Side of the Camp with the Capture Net

洞窟湖で魚を捕獲

There are fish spawn points to the right and left sides of the camp, so you are able to Capture Net to catch them with ease. Uncaught fish near the net you throw will run away so aim the net in a way that allows you to catch as much fish as possible.

Crouch Cancels Fish Capture Animation

While holding down L2
Crouch
Shoot the net
Stand up the moment you catch something
Repeat steps 1 to 3

When catching fish with the Capture Net, shoot the net while crouching and stand up the moment you catch the fish to cancel the capture animation after obtaining the fish.

Swim to the Left and Capture the Platinumfish Towards the Back

The Fish spawns towards the left side at the end of the lake once you start swimming.. Please refer to the video above if you can't find the exact location.

Fish Materials List

Return to the Cave Lake in Area 8

エリア8

Once you Fast Travel back to the Cave Lake in Area 8, the fish there should have all respawned. You can start catching the fish once again.

Repeat Steps 2-6

Swim to the left and capture the fish towards the back
Fast travel to the Area 16 Camp

Repeat steps 2 to 6 as many times as you'd like.

Sell Items for Cash

Obtainable Mats by CapturingPlatinum ScalePlatinum Scale
FeatureFish covered with platinum-colored scales. Like the Goldenfish, they are a popular feature in aquariums and accessories-but at higher prices, because of their relative scarcity. The leading theory for the Platinumfish's unique coloring is that they adapted to their sunless cave environments. They show a strong interest in Golden Bugheads.

You Can Get Platinum Scale

Platinum Scale

Catching a Platinumfish will give you a Platinum Scale. Gathering many of them allows you to make money, so you can sell it as a trade material for 2,000z.
