In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Gunpowderfish Scale can be obtained by fishing for Gunpowderfish in areas like the Scarlet Forest and Oilwell Basin. If no fish shadow appears, wait for a while or reload the area to check again.

If the fish shadow is visible, the Capture Net can also be used to obtain it. While you need to get closer, it can be acquired in a shorter time compared to fishing.
