Great for Collecting Rarity 7 Parts

Quest where Collecting 7 Rare Parts is Efficient

The event quest "King of a Faraway Sky" is an efficient quest for collecting "Rusted Weapon Shards," which are rarity 7 Artian parts. Although you can get about 3 to 8 pieces, note that Rarity 8 Artian parts are not available, so this won't help towards crafting the strongest Artian weapon in the game.

Hunt Lower-HP Tempered Monsters

Lower HP

This quest includes 4 additional Tempered Monsters alongside the target, Guardian Rathalos. These 4 monsters have significantly lower Health, allowing for easy hunting count farming. Tempered Wounds are easily applied, and destroying them yields Wyverian Bloodstones, which can be exchanged for Artian parts.

King of a Faraway Sky - Strategy Guide

  1. Accept the Event Quest (HR31 or Higher)
  2. Starting at Area 6 is Recommended
  3. Hunt the Tempered Guardian Rathalos

Accept the Event Quest (HR 31 or Higher)

To accept the event quest 'King of a Faraway Sky,' talk to Alma or open the quest menu from your Tent while online. A Hunter Rank (HR) of 31 or higher is required, so if you haven't reached the required HR Level, progress through the main story first.

Starting at Area 6 is Recommended

area 6 camp

The target monster, Tempered Guardian Rathalos, initially spawns near Area 6, so starting from Area 6: Remnant Grove camp allows for a more efficient approach to its location.

Use Great Thunder Bug and Vine Trap in Area 6

Area 6 of Ruins of Wyveria has Great Thunder Bug that applies Paralysis and Vine Traps which restrict movement. You can stop Guardian Rathalos' movement and hunt more efficiently, so make sure to take advantage of it.

Hunt the Tempered Guardian Rathalos

Tempered Guardian Rathalos

The Tempered Guardian Rathalos' weakness is the Dragon Element, but there's no need to craft specialized equipment for this hunt. If you already have Dragon Element weapons, equip them to improve your farming efficiency.

Doesn't Count Towards Side Mission

Even if you catch a Gillopod during the event quest, you will not be able to complete the side mission 'Dareel's Special Research Report' If you want to complete that quest, you need to capture it as a Field Survey or while exploring the map normally.
