Bug Fix Patch Released on April 15

Main Update Contents
1 Fixed an issue where selecting Sekka from Nata's Village Intermediary Item Trade window could cause the game to crash.
2Fixed an issue where playing an arena quest with a Powercharm or Armorcharm in your item pouch could create duplicates of the item.
3[Xbox Series X|S] Fixed an issue where the voice pitch settings for the player character and Palico would not function correctly in certain scenes.
4Fixed an issue that allowed players to bring their own equipment into Arena Quests and Challenge Quests.
5Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash when booting the game while your character is wearing certain equipment.
6Fixed an issue where the Mizutsune Assignment could not be reaccepted.

8Fixed an issue that would prevent the game from progressing in certain points if you had a Palico Bed set up at a camp.

A bug fix patch was released on April 15 (PST), aiming to resolve several gameplay issues and improve overall balance. One of the key fixes included in this update addresses a bug that allowed players to obtain multiple Powercharms and Armorcharms while in the Arena.

The Free Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds has been released. New content includes additional monsters like Mizutsune and High Rank Zoh Shia, as well as new features such as the Grand Hub and Arena Quests.

Two new events have been released in Monster Hunter Wilds.King of a Faraway Sky is a quest where you can collect Artian parts, and in When Do Quematrice Sing?, you can get crafting materials for the Amstrigian α upon completing the quest.

Mizutsune Returns

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) Mizutsune

Mizutsune will be return to the series in the first major update. An Extra Mission related to Mizutsune can be unlocked by speaking to Kanya in Scarlet Forest at HR 21 or higher. After HR 41, 8-star Tempered variants will also appear.

High Rank Zoh Shia

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) - Zoh Shia

The High Rank Zoh Shia quest is now available. When you complete a mission unlocked after reaching HR50, it will be displayed in the Environment Overview. There is a slight chance it will appear in the Ruins of Wyveria during 'Wyvern's Wakening' and it can be turned into a quest.

Meet Up With Other Hunters at the Grand Hub

Monster Hunter Wilds - Grand Hub

By participating in either Challenge Quests or Free Challenge Quests, Hunters can earn cosmetic items known as Pendants to hang off of their weapons. Hunters who rank the highest can earn more luxurious variants of these pendants to show off their hunting prowess!

Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) - Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

Rey Dau, the powerful Arch-tempered monster that surpasses individual Tempered variants, appears. Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be featured in a limited-time event quest starting this April 29th and can be accepted by hunters with HR 50 or higher.

In the upcoming update at the end of May, 5 new 8-star Tempered Monsters will be added. Originally, it was just Arkveld, but now, Apex Monsters and Gore Magala will also be included.

A Capcom collaboration update is scheduled for the end of May. Collaborations with Capcom titles such as 'Street Fighter' are expected, so be sure to obtain the exclusive collaboration rewards.

Endemic Life Preview Display

After the update, a list will be implemented that allows you to preview captured Endemic Life by individual species. Previously, only icons were visible, but after capturing, you will be able to view their actual appearance.

Lagiacrus Comeback in Ammo 2nd Major Update?

A second major update is scheduled for the summer of 2025. It has been announced that new monsters and a seasonal event will be included, with a high possibility that the new monster will be Lagiacrus since official videos have showcased Lagiacrus's roar and some of its distinctive features.

​According to the director's letter on the official website, adjustments are planned for the update at the end of May or around summer. It seems that other player-related balance adjustments will be made, so there may be changes to weapon types other than the Hammer.

The exact timing is unknown, but weapon layering is planned to be implemented in a future update. This will allow you to change the appearance of the equipped weapon to that of another weapon.

◆When successfully preforming an Offset Attack with the Insect Glaive’s Descending Slash under certain conditions, the hunter freezes and becomes unresponsive to any controls.
◆Addressed issues that occurred under certain conditions with screen rendering and causing force quits.
◆A notification or an Environment Overview Update may show that you have received a Meal Invitation when it is not available. (Some mitigation measures have been implemented.)
◆The Meal Invitation feature at Azuz and Sild does not unlock on some occasions.
◆An issue occurring when using Equipment Loadout, causing decorations to be removed from equipment, Bowgun Customization being reverted to default, and Kinsects reverting to the initial rarity.
◆When cutting off monster parts, the parts change into a monster part from a different monster.
◆An issue which may cause crashes or some monsters to act strangely under certain situations.
◆Some environmental features such as floating rubbles can be activated multiple times.
◆Palico’s support move, Attract Vigorwasps, may cause the hunter to become unresponsive to some controls.
◆When scrolling through the quest list, only the first 20 quests are displayed correctly.
◆An issue which may cause the game to forcefully shut down when starting a game with saved data that encountered a force quit.

You Can't Play the Steam Version Without Updating

For the Steam version, an update is required to launch the game, so updating is mandatory.

Be Aware of the Drawbacks of Playing Without an Update

  1. Can't play Event Quests
  2. Login Bonus cannot be received
  3. Unable to receive bounty delivery
  4. Cannot purchase new DLC
  5. Multiplayer is not possible
  6. Can't play the latest content
  7. Problems remain unresolved

Playing without updating prevents you from connecting to the network, which means you'll miss out on the latest content, along with other various potential drawbacks. It is generally not recommended to play without updating.
