For the Long Sword and Lance Equipment, your Item Pouch will have the Paralysis Throwing Knife and Pitfall Trap. These weapons offer more ways to trap monsters compared to other Equipment, making them a solid choice if you're comfortable with their controls.

  5. Thunder Ammo is recommended for Light Bowgun

To get an A rank in the Chatacabra Arena Quest, we recommend that you "Call Support Hunter," "Start with a Sneak Attack," "Hit 3 Paralysis Knives," "Use the Pitfall Trap," and "Use Thunder Ammo for the Light Bowgun."

Call Support Hunter if Going Solo

Even when going solo, you can still call a Support Hunter. Try calling them if you want to make it easier.

Start by Aiming For a Sneak Attack

Start by Aiming For a Sneak Attack

Once the Quest starts, try to execute a Sneak Attack from behind the monster. If you’re about to get spotted, using the Ghillie Mantle can also help. The Ghillie Mantle can be used regardless of which equipment you choose.

Hit with 3 Paralysis Knives

Hit with 3 Paralysis Knives to Cause Paralysis

If you're using the Great Sword/Hunting Horn or Long Sword/Lance Equipment, you can use Paralysis Throwing Knives. You need to hit it 3 times to cause Paralysis so be careful not to miss.

Use Pitfall Trap to Restrain

Use Pitfall Trap to Restrain

If you're using the Long Sword/Lance Equipment, you can also restrain the monster with a Pitfall Trap. When the monster is fatigued and vulnerable, set up the Pitfall Trap to deal more damage.

Thunder Ammo for Light Bowgun

Thunder Ammo is Recommended for Light Bowgun

When using the Light Bowgun, we recommend using the Thunder Ammo first. Although the Spread Ammo is strengthened, its recoil makes it quite difficult to use, so it’s better to use up the Thunder Ammo first.
