Individual Strength Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds / MHWs). Guide includes how to check strength, rewards, strength guide, & differences of Monster Strength.
What is Individual Strength?
Individual Strength in Monsters of the Same Name

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the strengths of a monster are indicated by the number of purple ♦ symbols. Even monsters with the same name can have different numbers of ♦, so make sure to check before engaging in battle.
Viewable by Hovering the Cursor on the Map

The Strength ♦ of naturally occurring monsters can be checked by hovering the cursor over the monster's icon on the map. If there are multiple monsters with the same name, compare their strength before engaging.
Individual Strength in Optional Quest is Fixed

Monsters in the Optional Quest have fixed strength. You can check it on the left side of the screen, right on their icon.
Difference in Individual Strength & Monster Rewards
The Higher the Strength, the Better Bonus & Reward Money

The more ♦ symbols a monster has for its strength, the higher the additional rewards and reward money you receive once it's defeated. Bonus rewards include materials from the monster, so if you want to gather materials, aim for stronger targets.
