How to Get Carbalite Ore
Recommended in Scarlet Forest

An efficient way to collect Carbalite Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds is to gather from Mining Outcrops in Scarlet Forest during High Rank. There are around nine Mining Outcrops along the route from Area 8 to Area 13, as seen in the image above.
Ore LocationsAccept an Optional Quest

Once you have gathered a Mining Outcrop, it will take some time to respawn. If you accept an Optional Quest, the Mining Outcrop will be available immediately. Select any Optional Quest in Scarlet Forest, mine the nodes, then return and repeat the quest.
Activate Equipment and Food Skills

Item | Effect |
---|---|
![]() | - Geologist Lv3 - Adds one extra item when gathering from mining outcrops. |
![]() | - Gatherer Meals - Items gathered increases randomly |
Skills such as Geologist increase the number of ores obtained by 1 at level 3. On the other hand, the Gatherer Meal randomly increases items obtained by 1. As both skills stack, it is possible to mine multiple items at once. Notably, the Geologist skill can be activated with the Chainmail equipment set, which is available at the start of the game.
Gatherer Meal Skill isn't Required
Gatherer Meal does not always guarantee the number of items gained will increase. Additionally, Truffle Du Conga is a difficult ingredient to obtain, so it is not required to activate this skill.
What to do when Carbalite Ore does not Appear
Check if you have Entered High Rank

Carbalite Ore is an ore that can only be obtained from the High Rank Map. If Carbalite Ore does not appear, check if the story has reached High Rank. High Rank will be released after Yian Kut-Ku Capturing at Chapter 4-1.
