How to Fish Great Trevally
Tuff Joint Bait is Recommended Lure
The recommended lure to fish Great Trevally is Tuff Joint Bait. The Great Trevally is a big fish, so it's easier to catch than using other lures.
Get Lure From Side Mission
Tuff Joint Bait can be obtained from the side mission "The Catch of a Lifetime" from NPC Kanya at Base Camp in Scarlet Forest.

Catching Great Trevally Requires Specific Controls
Once Great Trevally bites, the game begins. The player needs to react according to the fish's movements, and if the player is slow to react, fishing fails.
Tilt the Stick in the Direction of the Fish

After Great Trevally bites, Player must tilt the L stick in the direction of the Fish's movement until it gets tired and stops moving.. Be careful as the Fish will run away if you fail to react in time.

Fish may move toward obstacles such as rocks, and if the player does not react in time, it will escape. If the fish is about to hit an obstacle, flick the stick in the opposite direction to guide the Fish.

When the Fish jumps, you need to move the stick in the direction it flew and press the R2 button. Be careful as the fish may run away if the player can't react in time. Speartuna may jump multiple times in a row, so focus on the control while fishing.
