Free Title Update 1 Showcase

The Showcase for Free Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds aired on March 25, 2025 and revealed new gameplay features and monsters and it's scheduled to go live on April 3!

2nd Title Update This Summer 2025

During the Showcase, it was also announced that Free Title Update 2 is set to arrive in Summer 2025. The teaser even gave us a sneak peek at a particularly notable monster — and we can say this is one creature we’re excited to see in Monster Hunter Wilds!

Lagiarcus Might Appear on the Free Title Update 2

The teaser hints at the possible return of Lagiacrus in Monster Hunter Wilds. While it's still unclear if an underwater battle with Lagiacrus will be part of the experience, one thing's for sure — a new challenge awaits in the next update!

Unlock Mizutsune at HR21

Mizutsune returns in Monster Hunter Wilds' first free title update! To unlock Mizutsune, you need to reach HR21 before heading to the Scarlet Forest and speaking to Kanya!

Re-Challenge Zoh Shia

In the base game, Hunters would only be able to challenge Zoh Shia once as part of the story. With the release of the first free title update, Zoh Shia becomes available as a recurring hunt and can be targeted via the Environment Overview screen!

Unlocks at HR50

The Zoh Shia hunt becomes available after completing a mission that unlocks once Hunters reach HR 50.

New Zoh Shia Armor

Up until this point, Zoh Shia did not have any exclusive monster drops since it was only a one-time hunt. Since the free title update will include Zoh Shia as a recurring High Rank hunt, Hunters can now farm and forge new Zoh Shia equipment for themselves and their Palicos.

New Grand Hub Area

The Grand Hub will be available as an optional gathering hub for Hunters congregate. This new area will be used as a stage for many of Monster Hunter Wilds' seasonal events, and can be accessed by reaching HR 16 and speaking to Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

New Barrel Bowling Mini-Game

Only available in the Grand Hub, Barrel Bowling is a new mini-game that Hunters can participate in to win items and Pendants that are useful for hunting.

Arena Quests Return

Arena Quests are returning to Monster Hunter Wilds. Here, Hunters will compete to have the fastest quest clear times in a global ranking format. Hunters can quickly view rankings by visiting the Expedition Record Board at the entrance to the Grand Hub.

Compete With Hunters Around the World

As mentioned above, Arena Quests are scored and ranked globally, and there has been no mention of additional rewards for solo quest clears, which is a feature present in older Monster Hunter titles.

Special Pendants for Top Ranks

While the exact conditions have are undisclosed, Hunters who participate and receive top rankings on the leader boards also receive exclusive and extravagant Pendants for their efforts!

Alma's Outfit Change Available

In addition to customizing Hunter and Palico's appearance, you can now change Alma's outfit to match your style. New free outfits will be available once this feature is introduced, and a purchasable DLC may be coming soon.

Glasses Can Also Be Changed

You can also change Alma's glasses after completing a certain Side Mission. Be sure to give it a try, as there are some new stylish options to choose from!

New DLCs Available for Free Title Update 1

There's more to look forward to! New DLCs are coming for all players, including classic gestures, fun cosmetics, fresh BGMs, and cool camp gear — all available after the title update.

Available Early for Premium Deluxe and Cosmetic DLC Pass Holders

Premium Deluxe users and Cosmetic DLC holders can download the content as soon as it is released in the game. If you want to access those contents early, you can upgrade your game to Premium Deluxe or purchase a Cosmetic DLC Pass.

Paid DLC is also Available for Title Update 1

With Title Update 1, you'll also have the chance to purchase some exciting new DLCs! These include stylish pendants, an MH World Handler outfit, exclusive gestures, fresh poses, and fun stickers to add flair to your game.

Releasing on April 22

Festival of Accord: Blossomdance

A new Seasonal Event will be available on the Free Title Update, which will be released from April 22nd until May 6th. During the Seasonal Event, the appearance of the Grand Hub and available meals will change. You can also obtain limited equipment, gestures, pop-up camp decorations, and more!

Previous Event Quests Will Also Return

Along with the new seasonal Event Quests, some past events that had expired will also make a comeback. So, if you missed out on limited gear or items during those events, you'll have another chance to grab them when the quests return!

Releasing on April 29

Arch-Tempered Rey Dau Event Quests

Monster Hunter Wilds' first Arch-Tempered monster is going to be Arch-Tempered Rey Dau! Starting on April 30, Arch-Tempered Rey Dau will be available as an Event Quest.

New Gamma Series Armor

Once the free title update goes live, and Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is added to the game, Hunters will then be able to craft the new Gamma series armor for themselves and their Palico.

New Open Beta Information

Arkveld Can Be Challenged

It has been revealed that you can take on the game's signature monster, Arkveld. Appears in the field with a low probability after completing the Optional Quest and can be challenged in a special high-difficulty Quest.

Training Area Available for Use

It has been announced that the training area will be accessible from Base Camp. This solo-only area allows you to practice each weapon action. Even if the Hunter runs out of stamina, they will instantly revive, and consumables will not be available.

Expanded Online Features

It has been announced that some online features will be expanded in the open beta, with the addition of private lobbies and solo online play.

	Monster Name and Characteristics
	Swamp Spouting Wyvern Rompopolo A Brute Wyvern species that makes its lair in places where oil and mud are deeply accumulated. It disperses toxic gas from the tip of its tongue and injects gas into the ground from the tip of its tail to cause explosions.
	Monkey Beast Ajarakan A Fanged Beast species characterized by a shell that has developed to cover its back. It sometimes rubs its shell, which is coated with melted metal, causing it to glow red. It becomes more active during the Firespring period, increasing its threat level.
	Black Flame A mysterious monster known as the 'Black Flame' in Azus, passed down through stories.

Three new monsters, Swamp Spouting Wyvern Rompopolo, Monkey Beast Ajarakan, and Black Flame, make an appearance at the showcase.
