Obtain from Limited-Time Event Quest

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the Time-honed Wylk Gem can be guaranteed from the limited-time event quest "Like a Fire Hidden by Sand" Since you must be HR 9 or higher to participate in the quest, advance the story up to Chapter 4 where you capture Yian Kut-Ku.

Guaranteed from Wylky Crystal Outcrop in Area 14

In the cave at Windward Plains Area 14, a Wylky Crystal Outcrop is guaranteed to appear, ensuring you can always gather a "Time-honed WylkGem." Set up a Pop-Up Camp at the Underground Water Vein in Area 14 to efficiently farm the item by repeat gathering.

Time-honed Wylk Gem - How to Get

Gather in Plains or Ruins

Time-honed Wylk Gem in Monster Hunter Wilds can be obtained by gathering Wylky Crystal Outcropping in Windward Plains and Ruins of Wyveria. Note that it cannot be obtained from regular Wylky Gemstone Nodes

Geologist Does Not Increase Drops

Time-Honed Wylk Gem is not affected by the Skill Geologist as you can only obtain one per event. If you see the event notification, be sure to stop by and gather from the nodes.

Gathering Nodes During Event

During the Wylky Crystal Outcrop Emergence event, gathering nodes that appear are guaranteed to contain Time-honed Wylk Gems. Check the Environment Overview to see the available events, as shown in the image above. If the event is in the forecast, it will occur by waiting until the specified time.

Events During the Plenty and Fallow

The environment affects which events occur in an area. It is recommended to set the environment to the Plenty or Fallow, as the event is more likely to appear even if it is not listed in the Environmental Overview.

Rest at Camp to Reset Environment

If the event has not occurred and cannot be found in the forecast, go to the camp and reset the environment. Note that 300 points are needed for each rest.

After clearing Chapter 4-1, if you talk to Yaburan at least once, you can item trade with Yabran by talking to Nata from then on. There is no need to go to Azus from now on.
