How to Get Scarred Scale
Obtained by Item Trades

Scarred Scale in Monster Hunter Wilds can be obtained through Item Trades with Sekka in Suja, Peaks of Accord or Gawdygog in Scarlet Forest. However, the exchange lineup is random. If the item is not in rotation, rest in your tent to refresh the available items.

Material Retrieval from Apar

Scarred Scale can also be obtained through Material Retrieval request from Apar in Suja, Peaks of Accord. Similar to Item Trade, items will appear randomly, so go on hunts or other activities to pass time.

To exchange for Scarred Scale, you will need either Large Goldenscale Vase or Thundering Fulgurite. Scarred Scale will require a specific amount of trade items, so be sure to collect as many Trade-in items as possible.
Rest in the Tent to Change Weather
Resting in the tent changes the environment and time, use this to your advantage to change the environment where the Trade-in Items will appear. Note that this process will cost 300 Guild Points for each Rest.
Talk to Item Trade NPC


Once you have the necessary item for exchange, talk to Sekka and Gawdygog. This will unlock Item Trades and you can now trade by talking to Nata at Base Camp.

Scarred Scale is not guaranteed to appear in the Item Trade lineup, so talk to Nata at Base Camp to check the items in rotation. If it is not available, rest in the tent and repeat the process.
Exchange as Needed
Exchange Scarred Scale when it appears in the Item Trade lineup. There is a limit to how many items can be exchanged. If you need more, return to step 4 and repeat the process.
