Based on the end of the 4.8 Update, the 5.0 Update will likely be released on August 28, 2024. Although its details were revealed in the 5.0 Livestream, the exact date of release is not yet officially announced.

| When Mualani uses her Elemental Skill, she mounts her Sharky Surfboard to join the battle and uses Sharky's Bite to attack enemies. By coming into contact with enemies, Mulani can mark them and grant herself a special effect. When Sharky's Bite hits marked enemies, it deals more DMG and fires Shark Missles. In addition, riding on Sharky Surfboard allows Mualani to move on water and liquid Phlogiston, and increases her Movement SPD and Interruption Resistance. |

| When Kinich uses his Elemental Skill, he fires a grappling hook that can attack to enemies or objects that can be attacked, and is also able to swing in mid-air to move rapidly. Kinich can also expend Phlogiston in mid-air for an extra swing. When using the grappling hook to hook onto an opponent, Kinich can perform a variable attack and fire Loop Shots to accumulate Nightsoul points. When Kinich enters a Blind Spot within the range of the Loop Shot, he will gain more Nightsoul points. When Nightsoul points are at max, he can unleash Scalespiker Cannon to deal greater DMG. |

This effect can trigger once every second. |

Saurian Exploration Mechanic
Saurians are creatures found in Natlan that can aid the player in traversing through the land or to clear challenges. Each type has its own unique abilities!
Nightsoul's Blessing
Nightsoul's Blessing is a character feature that is unique to Natlan's characters. According to the livestream, this will increase the strength of the character!
Nightsoul Blessing Guide & EffectsTest Run Area
The Test Run Area is a new area wherein players can test out their character's abilities. This includes traversal and combat testing!
Quick Start Option For Archon Quests
New travelers will be able to quickly head to Natlan by Quick Starting its Archon Quest. To do this, you will have to first complete Liyue's Archon Quests.
Local Specialty Tracking
From the inventory, players can now track the location of Local Specialties. You can now click the "In the Wild" from the item description to see their location!
World Level 9 Release
You can now opt to further increase your World Level beyond level 8! Starting in the 5.0 Update, the max World Level is now 9.
Artifact Salvage
Convert unwanted Artifacts into Sanctifying Essence and Sanctifying Unction!
Artifact Transmuter
The Artifact Transmuter will allow players to change the Main Stat of an Artifact of their choosing. You will need Sanctifying Elixirs to do this.
Gameplay & Mechanic Updates
Different Reputation System In Natlan
The Reputation System in Natlan is entirely different since there is no big city in Natlan. Instead of a capital, they have different tribes wherein the Traveler needs to build their reputation across all of them.
More Primogem Rewards For Archon Quests
From the 5.0 update onwards, playing the new Archon Quests will reward players with more Primogems. This is not permanent however.
Additional Rewards For Story Quests
Besides the Archon Quests, players will also received additional rewards for completing Story Quests. However, instead of Primogems, players will get the feature character's Ascension Materials upon completing it!
Stellar Reunion Update
The Stellar Reunion will be revamped a bit in the 5.0 Update. The changes are mostly in its rewards.
Higher Drops For Some Enemies
Some enemies will also receive adjustments in their material drop rates. Of note, the Kairagi and Spectre drops have been increased.
Battle Pass Updates
The Battle Pass rewards can now be chosen by players. Of note, they can set which Basic BP Rewards they can get and which Talent Level-Up Materials.
More Stamina By Offering At Statues Of The Seven
Players will also receive more Stamina by the 5.0 Update. Additional Stamina can be gained via offering at any of the Statues of the Seven.
50/50 Is Now 55/45 With Capturing Radiance
Basically, Capturing Radiance increases your chance of getting the Promotional Character. Instead of the previous 50/50, with Capturing Radiance, it is not 55/45.

The Weapon Banner will now only require a single Fate Point instead of the previous two.

The Imaginarium Theater will also receive an update. It will include higher difficulty and boon changes.
