As part of Genshin Impact's 4th Anniversary, players will be able to get a free 5-Star Character from the Standard Banner's roster!

It's also been announced that this will become a yearly event! Every year, players will be able to choose a 5-star character of their choosing!

Ranking Based On Meta - Recommended Characters

This Ranking takes into account the current meta of Genshin Impact, specifically which character works best with other characters, their damage, and their utility. Since Furina has completely changed the meta with her release, her working with the characters is taken into account.

1	Jean	If You Have Furina: - Jean's AOE Healing works extremely well with Furina, making her a must have if you have Furina - Since Jean does team-wide healing, her Burst can easily give max stacks to Furina If You Have No Furina: - If you have no Furina, Jean is still the top choice since she provides the most utility among the other 5-Stars - Her Burst can easily heal the rest of the party and depending on her artifact built, can buff the team's Burst with Noblesse Oblige or increase the team's damage with Viridescent Venerer
2	Tighnari	- Tighnari's the best DPS choice to get among the character you can choose from - He does great Dendro damage and can easily work as a Burst DPS or on-field DPS - His Passive Skill that marks nearby Sumeru Local Specialty is great to have
3	Dehya	- Dehya is not the best Pyro applicator, but with the recent need for on-field Pyro characters, her demand has gone higher
4-6	Keqing Mona Diluc	- Across these three characters, they are interchangeable with their priority. Although great to have, it's better to just wait to get them from losing 50/50 than anything else - Mona has the better utility, while Diluc is a more straightforward DPS option. Keqing only becomes viable meta-wise if you run highly specific Dendro groups with her
7	Qiqi	- Qiqi's among the worst ranked characters because although her healing is great, it is conditional and her Cryo application is almost non-existent

1	Jean	- Jean overall is the best pick here if you still do not have her. - Her healing is among the best in the game and her overall utility is great - Although she doesn't deal a lot of damage, she can easily fit as the Anemo support in most team comps that need it - She can also act as an Anemo battery to most other Anemo DPS Constellation Guide: - Only get her for cons if you get her to C3. The rest of her cons are not of priority
2	Tighnari	- Tighnari's the best DPS among the group - As a Dendro DPS, he can act as either an on-field DPS wherein most of his damage comes from his Charged Shots or a Burst DPS wherein he can be a quickswap character Constellation Guide: - Tighnari's cons are all very good so if you're running him in your main team, get them though this
3	Dehya	- Dehya's on-field Pyro application allows her to to be the only viable replacement for Xiangling in teams - For Abyss, if you're running two teams that both require on-field Pyro skills, get Dehya for it Constellation Guide: - Dehya's C1 and C2 are a must have for her. If you plan on running her constantly, get these cons for her
4	Mona	- Mona's a great support and Sub-DPS but her hydro application isn't among the best making it hard to constantly run her with reaction teams without using Anemo - She's particularly strong with Freeze teams though Constellation Guide: - Among her cons, the best one is C1. However, it's more a bonus than a requirement. It's better to just wait for 50/50 loses for this
5	Diluc	- Diluc's strong as an on-field DPS, but is very constrained by his slow elemental application - He can still work in teams, but it's a very Support heavy team Constellation Guide: - It's not recommended to get Cons for Diluc because none of them particularly are great
6	Keqing	- Keqing is restricted by her low Elemental Application and low damage potential - Making her stronger requires highly specific teams that require some of best supports of the game Constellation Guide: - It's not recommended to get Cons for Keqing because none of them particularly are great
7	Qiqi	- Qiqi's held back by her conditional healing, low Elemental Application, and overall low impact in teams - When it comes to teams, she doesn't really fit well in Cryo-reaction teams or in Physical teams, placing her in a very niche place Constellation Guide: - It's not recommended to get Cons for Qiqi because none of them particularly are great
