Best Teams for Alhaitham
Popular Teams For Alhaitham
Team | Rating Description |
---|---|
▼Quickbloom Alhaitham | ★★★★★ - Likely Alhaitham's strongest team comp at low investment. - Maintains the Quicken reaction or aura on an enemy to trigger Spread (which increases the Dendro DMG of an attack), with an added bonus of producing a decent amount of Hyperblooms on the side. - Alhaitham contributes a good chunk of the team DPS in this team. |
▼Hyperbloom Driver Alhaitham | ★★★★・ - A comp that focuses on producing as much Hyperblooms as possible. - Alhaitham functions more like an On-Field driver here, with less personal DPS contribution from him due to lower frequency of triggering the Spread reaction. |
▼Spread Alhaitham | ★★★・・ - This team leans heavily into the Spread reaction instead, since there is no Hydro teammate included. - The best option if you Alhaitham's personal damage to be the majority of the team DPS. |
▼Bloom Driver Alhaitham | ★★★・・ - Similarly to Hyperbloom, Alhaitham can be used On-Field as the driver for a comp centered around the Bloom reaction. - While viable and can produce decent damage, Alhaitham's personal DPS becomes negligible due to the lack of Quicken. - He also isn't the best overall choice for this team, making it a sup-optimal option for either Alhaitham and the Bloom characters themselves. |

![]() Lauma | ![]() ![]() └ Lauma already shreds Dendro RES while her Skill field is active, so she doesn't need to equip Deepwood Memories. Other Dendro supports will still need to equip Deepwood. Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. Elemental Mastery 3. CRIT Rate or DMG |
![]() Furina | ![]() └ If you're having trouble charging Furina's Burst every rotation, you can try equipping Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, Favonius Sword or Festering Desire instead. ![]() Main Energy Recharge or HP% / HP% / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. CRIT Rate or DMG 3. HP% |
![]() Kuki Shinobu | ![]() ![]() └ Gilded Dreams is also an equal alternative. Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Elemental Mastery 2. HP% 3. Energy Recharge |
Note | - This team focuses on producing Hyperblooms, which come out as homing single-target projectiles dealing Dendro DMG, while also keeping the Quicken effect active. - Quicken occurs when Dendro and Electro are applied in any order, creating a lingering aura on the target. Hitting the target with Dendro again triggers Spread, increasing that attack’s damage based on the trigger character's Elemental Mastery. |
---|
Because the Quicken effect has good uptime in this comp, Alhaitham's personal damage equates to a sizeable chunk of the total team DPS as a result of being able to reliably buff a few hits from his Projection Attacks through the Spread reaction. The total number of Hyperblooms triggered may be less than a dedicated comp, but Alhaitham's damage contribution is sometimes more than enough to compensate.
Rotation of Quickbloom Alhaitham Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Lauma's Skill (Hold). If this is the very first rotation, use the Tap version of her Skill instead. |
2 | Use Furina's Skill, then Burst. You can choose to dash after using her Skill to cancel the animation. |
3 | Swap to Shinobu to deploy her Skill. Burst is optional. |
4 | Proceed to do the first half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that first uses his Skill (Hold) into a Plunge Attack. |
5 | Switch to Shinobu, use her Elemental Skill. |
6 | Do the second half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that opens with his Elemental Burst. |
7 | Use Normal Attacks on Alhaitham until his support abilities expire. You can dash-cancel after the 3rd Normal Attack. └ You can also swap into Lauma again, once Alhaitham's Mirrors decay from 3 to 2 Mirrors, to use her Skill (Hold) once you've gotten 3 Verdant Dew stacks. |
8 | Repeat from Step 1, |
Alhaitham's split rotation allows you to refresh Kuki's Elemental Skill, letting Alhaitham have free reign over the field time, which is what his playstyle prefers. Additionally, you can use Shinobu's Burst to apply a burst of Electro quickly trigger Hyperblooms in between, or immediately after using her Skill so she can use the invincibility frames of her Burst to heal herself a little.

![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Lauma is going to be your go-to option for the best overall damage in an Alhaitham team, but his personal damage in this team is overall less than if you were to slot in Nahida instead. - Nahida's Elemental Burst provides a substantial amount of Elemental Mastery that Alhaitham greatly benefits from. - But he can still work without this EM buff, so long as another Dendro teammate is in the party. Their purpose is to equip the Deepwood Memories set to shred Dendro RES while also providing Dendro energy particles for Alhaitham. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | - An Off-Field Hydro support is required to produce Dendro cores. Yelan is the best Furina alternative due to also having a DMG% buff, but Xingqiu can also be considered. - Because Xingqiu applies more Hydro, the number of Spreads Alhaitham can trigger may lower, and his personal DPS may decrease as a result. - Kokomi is less than ideal if Shinobu's healing is already sufficient for you, so it's best to pair her with a different Electro trigger instead. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | - The Electro trigger should have good AoE coverage to consistently proc Hyperblooms throughout a rotation. - Raiden Shogun’s Skill offers wide coverage with near-permanent uptime, making her a strong substitute. Pair her with a healer for more comfort. - Ineffa may have a lower Lunar-Charged trigger rate here due to the strong Dendro application that can easily overwhelm the Hydro element on enemies, thereby making it hard for her to trigger Lunar-Charged, She can still replace Shinobu in a pinch since she builds Elemental Mastery, provides an EM buff, and provides a serviceable shield. |
Alhaitham's Quickbloom team has three specific slots to fill. Typically the first requirement is a Dendro support to equip the Deepwood Memories for the Dendro RES shred and to supply him with Energy. The second slot is meant for the Off-Field Hydro source to generate Dendro cores. The third is the Electro support that can trigger Hyperbloom and maintain the Quicken aura on nearby enemies.
Is Lauma Better than Nahida for Alhaitham?
In terms of damage alone, Lauma is the best Dendro support for Alhaitham teams that revolve around Dendro Cores (so Quick or Hyperbloom and Bloom), but with some drawbacks.
Pros | - Lauma helps elevate Alhaitham's Quickbloom and Hyperbloom team DPS through her Hold Skill, which deals strong Lunar-Bloom DMG. - Her Skill field gives innate Dendro RES Shred when hitting enemies, letting her use Silken Moon's Serenade instead of Deepwood Memories. |
---|---|
Cons | - Lauma's full potential isn't maximized here since she's designed for Bloom teams that use Verdant Dew stacks. You're likely to see better numbers in her dedicated teams. - This setup works but makes use of a strong support in a sub-optimal team, and Alhaitham no longer becomes the major contributor towards the team DPS, which may be a problem for people who want their On-Field DPS to be the star of the show. - Lauma offers higher total team damage overall, but the classic Nahida-Alhaitham pairing remains perfectly viable for general or casual play. |
Hyperbloom Driver Alhaitham Team Comp
Team Composition & Equipment
Character | Weapon Artifacts & Stats |
---|---|
![]() Alhaitham | ![]() ![]() Main Elemental Mastery (EM) / Dendro DMG Bonus / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. CRIT Rate 3. CRIT DMG 4. Elemental Mastery |
![]() Yelan | ![]() └ If you have Yelan's C1, you can use opt to use her Signature Weapon, Aqua Simulacra, for better personal damage instead. ![]() Main Sands: HP Goblet: Hydro DMG Bonus Circlet: CRIT Rate Sub 1. CRIT DMG 2. CRIT Rate 3. HP% 4. Energy Recharge |
![]() Xingqiu | ![]() ![]() Main Energy Recharge% / Hydro DMG Bonus / CRIT Rate or DMG Circlet: CRIT DMG Sub 1. Energy Recharge% 2. CRIT Rate or DMG 3. ATK% |
![]() Kuki Shinobu | ![]() ![]() └ Gilded Dreams is also an equal alternative. Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Elemental Mastery 2. HP% 3. Energy Recharge |
This variation of a Hyperbloom team includes the strong single-target pairing composed of Xingqiu and Yelan, which applies a generous amount of Hydro, thus creating a plentiful amount of Dendro Cores. Due to the strong Hydro application, the Quicken uptime of this team is generally going to be very low, so Alhaitham's personal damage is no longer a large portion of the team DPS as opposed to how it is in the Quickbloom comp.
Regardless, this team still outputs a substantial amount of Dendro damage that can be viable into a lot of endgame or overworld combat content.
Gilded Dreams vs. Deepwood Memories
Artifact | Detail |
---|---|
![]() | - Provides EM & ATK - Stat bonus depends on the element of team members - Use if someone else has Deepwood Memories x4 |
![]() | - Provides Dendro DMG bonus & Dendro RES debuff - Consistent stat - Use if no other support can make use of this set on the team. |
Gilded Dreams is usually the best option for Alhaitham's personal damage. However, if there is no one on the team equipped with Deepwood Memories x4, it's usually better to have him equip this set instead because the Dendro RES shred can significantly increase the damage of the Hyperblooms, which make up a majority of this comp's DPS.
Rotation of Hyperbloom Driver Alhaitham Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Xingqiu's Skill into Burst. You can use a dash to cancel the long animation of Skill. |
2 | Switch to Yelan. Use her Skill, followed by her Burst. |
3 | Swap to Shinobu to use her Skill. Burst is optional. |
4 | Use one of Alhaitham's combos to drive the support abilities. It's recommended to use his Long or Short Rotation combo in this team. |
5 | Repeat from step 1 after support abilities expire. |
Because Alhaitham functions more as an ability driver for Yelan and Xingqiu in this team variation, you're able to do his Long or Short rotation to fully commit to Dendro core production.

![]() | ![]() ![]() | - The Electro trigger should have good AoE coverage to consistently proc Hyperblooms throughout a rotation. - Raiden Shogun’s Skill offers wide coverage with near-permanent uptime, making her a strong substitute. Pair her with a healer in the other Hydro slot for more comfort. - Ineffa's Lunar-Charged uptime is a lot more consistent as a result of having two Hydro units. However, note that despite building some EM, she generally isn't going to be having a lot of it, which can lower the damage potency of the Hyperblooms. You can try giving her more EM, but it'd lower her Lunar-Charged damage since she still wants some ATK. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Yelan paired with Xingqiu is usually the best option for a pure Hyperbloom team. However if she isn't available, any other Hydro support with Off-Field Hydro application can be viable. - Kokomi is ideal when you have someone other than Shinobu as your Electro trigger to compensate for the lack of sustain. - Barbara is similar to Kokomi, but her application is limited to melee-range since only her Skill ring applies Hydro off-field. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Because a pure Hyperbloom team is focused on creating as much Hyperblooms as possible, having a secondary Hydro helps to maintain constant Dendro Core production. - If you use Furina, it's best to pair her with a healer like Kokomi so the team isn't constantly hovering at 50% HP. Her DMG% buff however does not affect Hyperblooms. - Ayato would require a large amount of Energy Recharge to be able to function as a substitute considering how he isn't going to be the On-Field character with Alhaithami . |
Generally, this Hyperbloom team variant is unlike the Quickbloom comp due to the presence of two Hydro applicators, which results in increased Dendro core production and thus more Hyperblooms. Replacing the 2nd Hydro character will result in less Hyperbloom damage, and will naturally orient the team towards Quickbloom options instead.

Note | - Spread is the reaction that increases the Dendro DMG of a Dendro attack on an enemy with the Quicken aura active. - Quicken occurs when Dendro and Electro are applied in any order, creating a lingering aura on the target. Hitting the target with Dendro again triggers Spread, increasing that attack’s damage based on the trigger character's Elemental Mastery. |
---|
Due to his abilities having sizeable Elemental Mastery (EM) scalings, it's easy to see that Alhaitham was designed to benefit strongly from Spread, which buffs the damage of each Dendro hit, at a set interval, based off of the Dendro attacker's EM. Alhaitham's Spread comp allows him to freely trigger Spread as often as possible, which lets him deal the majority of the team DPS.
Rotation of Spread Alhaitham Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Yae Miko, then deploy her Skill (x3). |
2 | Swap to Nahida to use her Elemental Skill into Burst. |
3 | Switch to Shinobu. Activate her Skill for sustain. Burst is optional. |
4 | Proceed to do the first half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that first uses his Skill (Hold) into a Plunge Attack. You can also do the short rotation instead. |
5 | Swap to Nahida. Use her Elemental Skill, the tap version preferably. |
6 | Redeploy Yae Miko's turrets by activating her Skill (x3). Burst is optional. |
7 | Switch to Shinobu, use her Elemental Skill. |
8 | Do the second half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that opens with his Elemental Burst. |
9 | Use Alhaitham's Normal Attacks until the support abilities expire. You can dash-cancel after the 3rd Normal Attack. |
10 | Repeat from step 1 |
Shinobu and Yae Miko's Elemental Bursts are both optional for different reasons. Yae Miko's Burst has a long animation and high Energy cost, which can be hard to use reliably without giving her a lot of Energy Recharge that could get in the way of offensive stats. Shinobu's Burst doesn't really contribute much since she's only the healer in this team setup.
Substitute Characters
Character | Sub | Details |
---|---|---|
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | - An Electro Sub-DPS should always be included so you can reliably maintain the Quicken reaction. - Fischl doesn't completely synergize with Alhaitham since her 'Begone Thy Sinful Hex' passive doesn't trigger with Spread, but she can still help trigger Quicken regardless. - Ororon won't be able to contribute much damage, but since he can fully utilize the Cinder City set, he can at least provide a sizeable buff to compensate. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | - The Dendro Support wants to be able to use Deepwood Memories for the Dendro RES shred as well as provide Dendro Energy particles for Alhaitham. - Nahida is the most optimal due to her Elemental Mastery buff on her Burst, but other options are just as viable. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() | - The last slot should be dedicated for the sustain character. - Shinobu with the provided build above has enough HP to have non-negligible healing and have some buffing power as a bonus. - Zhongli has less buffing power but is more comfortable due to his durable shield and also providing a modest yet helpful Elemental RES shred to all elements. - Beidou is best paired alongside Fischl so she can be supplied enough Energy to use her Burst every rotation, and maybe even a Dendro healer for the best comfort since Beidou's shield is relatively weak as a main sustain. |
For this team to truly shine as a Spread-only team, you'll only want Elements that won't impede the Spread trigger rate. This means you can only reliably have Dendro and Electro, with Geo being dependent on the character. Use whichever setup or substitution suits your way of playing.

Alhaitham replaces Nahida in Nilou's best Bloom team and acts as a Driver that supplies On-Field Dendro application to help produce as much Dendro Cores as possible. Although this isn't the best iteration of the Premium Bloom team due to the absence of Nahida's EM buff, it's still a possible Alhaitham team that you can choose to run to clear content or to explore a different playstyle.
Rotation Of Bloom Driver Alhaitham Team
No. | Procedure |
---|---|
1 | Start with Lauma's Skill (Hold). If this is the first rotation, use the Tap version instead. |
2 | Use Nilou's Elemental Skill 3 times to convert regular Blooms into Bountiful Blooms. |
3 | Switch to Kokomi, use her Elemental Skill. |
4 | Proceed to do the first half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that first uses his Skill (Hold) into a Plunge Attack. |
5 | Re-deploy Kokomi's Skill if you're able to. |
6 | Do the second half of Alhaitham's split rotation combo that opens with his Elemental Burst. |
6 | Use Normal Attacks on Alhaitham until his support abilities expire. You can dash-cancel after the 3rd Normal Attack. └ You can also swap into Lauma again, once Alhaitham's Mirrors decay from 3 to 2 Mirrors, to use her Skill (Hold) once you've gotten 3 Verdant Dew stacks. |
7 | Repeat from Step 1. |
Alhaitham is a little more durable than Nahida as an On-Field Driver, so you're less likely to need to constantly swap into Kokomi to use her Elemental Burst to heal. You'll also want to occasionally swap into Lauma to use her Hold Skill whenever possible.

![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() Traveler ![]() ![]() | - Replacing Lauma means you won't have access to her Lunar-Bloom damage, which lowers the damage potential of the team, but it can still be enough to clear casual content. - Bloom teams will typically want at least two Dendro and two Hydro characters, so try to balance your choice around this. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Kokomi usually functions as the primary healer, but because Alhaitham will most likely not need her Elemental Burst as often, you can freely choose any alternate healer while keeping in mind to balance out the elements, ideally 2 Dendro and 2 Hydro. |
![]() | ![]() ![]() ![]() | - Nilou is the most important part of any good Bloom team since she converts normal Bloom reactions into Bountiful Blooms, which deal increased damage, explode faster, and have better range. - Replacing her causes the team to downgrade into a regular Bloom team, which isn't ideal and may struggle to clear content. - Instead of substituting Nilou for another Hydro character, you can pivot into a Hyperbloom team instead by replacing her with an Electro character that can trigger the Hyperbloom reaction reliably. └ Jump to Hyperbloom team. |
Bountiful Blooms are only enabled when the party is composed entirely of Dendro and Hydro characters when Nilou is in the party. The most optimal setup while considering this reaction consists of 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro characters; this is to ensure a balance between the two Elements and that you wouldn't accidentally overpower one over the other mid-rotation. A Dendro On-Fielder like Alhaitham is also preferred since Nilou and Kokomi provide enough Hydro.
