What Is Phlogiston?
New Mechanic Found Only In Natlan
Phlogiston is a new mechanic introduced in Natlan and is only available within the region. According to it's lore, it's an advanced form of Pyro.
Phlogiston Is A Metered Amount
Phlogiston can run out since players can only have a finite amount at a time. The amount is shown on the side of your Natlan Character or Saurian, while the Traveler's reserve is shown above the HP bar.
Traveler's Reserve Is Only Used After Saurian/Character Runs Out
When indwelling a Saurian or using a Natlan character, they will have their own Phlogiston meter. Once it's run out, they will tap into the Traveler's reserves then!
Allows Saurians / Natlan Characters To Use Their Unique Abilities
Phlogiston allows players to use unique abilities when using Natlan Characters or Saurian indwelling. This cna include traversal or combat abilities!

Phlogiston - How To Refill
Activate Everflame Seeds
Everflame Seeds are unique structures found around Natlan. Activating them will fill up your whole Phlogiston meter.
Collect Flaming Seed Of Phlogiston
Flaming Seeds of Phlogiston can be found around the world. They don't fully restore your Phlogiston meter, but they are a quick fix for when you're traversing.
Pick Up Specific Items To Get Phlogiston
Some items do give Phlogiston when you pick them up. This can include Crystal Beetles, Candlecap Mushrooms, and Pyro Crystalflies.
