Contending Tides - Release Date

Does Not Require Resin For Challenge

Contending Tides is a free to join event and it does not require you to consume Resin for challenge attempts of the challenges. Changing your World Level will not affect the difficulty of event challenges

Challenge Different Opponents For Rewards

Three Difficulty Levels Unlock Everyday

Starting from the first day of this event, a new challenge with three difficulty levels will unlock every day. Travelers can select the difficulty at which to attempt a challenge. Completing a challenge at a higher difficulty will also automatically clear any lower difficulties.

3 Completion Criteria Per Difficulty

You may earn rewards by completing criteria set for each difficulty. Each difficulty has 3 criteria and you will be rewarded after completing all of them.

Ability Bonus Is Different Per Challenge

Each challenge will enhance certain abilities. Pay attention to the bonus effects and use them to maximize your advantage.

Day 1: Welcome To Easy Mode

Opponents
Completion Criteria
① Defeat 20 opponents in 180s. ② Defeat 4 Blazing Axe Mitachurls ③ No character death during the challenge.
Mechanic
There will be an Aura within the arena. Characters within the Aura will obtain the following effects: ・ATK is increased by 100% ・When attack hit opponents, a shockwave is released if your Stamina is above 50%, dealing AoE DMG. Shockwaves can only be triggered in this way once every 3s.

- Albedo and Zhongli can create an area wherein enemies be continuously damaged which is perfect for for this stage. - Childe works well against the Pyro effect of Mitachurls and gets stronger as the number of opponents grow. - Bennett is a support and healer that can boost every character's damage.

Stage 2: Don't Sweat It

Completion Criteria
① Defeat 30 opponents in 180s. ② Time between kills cannot exceed 20s. ③ No character death during the challenge.
Mechanic
・Electro-Charged deals 150% increased DMG against opponents. ・ When a character triggers an Electro-Charged reaction that strikes an opponent, a shockwave is released dealing AoE Electro DMG. Shockwaves can only be triggered in this way only once every 5s.

- Ganyu can control the flow of opponents by freezing them providing additional damage. - Fischl increase the damage against slime. - Diona can crowd control, provide shield and heals. - Keqing has the most powerful electro damage which can easily wipe all opponents.

Keqing	Razor	-While Razor is physically oriented, with his burst he can deal continuous electro-charge.
Keqing	Lisa	- Can easily trigger Electro charge with her attacks.
Fischl	Beidou	- Can also easily spread electro with her Burst.
Diona	Noelle	- Can also provide healing and shields minus the freeze reaction.
Ganyu	Kaeya	- Can crowd control using cryo.

Stage 3: Art Of The Cannonball

Opponents
Completion Criteria
① Defeat 25 opponents in 190s. ② Defeat 3 Blazing Axe Mitachurls. ③ No character death during the challenge.
Mechanic
When a character performs a Plunging Attack, a shockwave is released that deals DMG to all opponents in the arena. After performing a Plunging attack, the next plunging attack by one of your own party members and the shockwave generated by that Plunging attack will both deal 50% increased DMG, This effect can stack up to 10 times.

Details
- Xiao already has powerful plunge DPS which is further buffed by the gimmick of arena. - Venti makes it easier for all characters to do plunge. - Bennett can power up all character while providing healing. - Zhongli makes it safe for characters in the sky to attack.

Bennett	Barbara	Great healing and is available to all players.
Venti	Albedo	- Also makes it easier to do plunge attack.
