The Starduster in Monster Hunter Wilds appears in Areas 2, 6, 8, and 17 of the Scarlet Forest. It appears regardless of the environment, but it's recommended to search during Plenty, where the water surface is easier to see.
Area 17 is Difficult to Reach With Capturing Net
The Starduster appears in Area 17, but since it spawns at a distant location, it can be difficult to reach with the Capturing Net. For capturing, Areas 2 and 6, which are closer to the base, are recommended.

When capturing the Starduster, aim carefully and use the Capture Net to catch it. Even with the Ghillie Mantle equipped, it will flee if you get too close, so it's recommended to aim from a slightly greater distance.

The Starduster lives in the water but cannot be caught with a Fishing Rod. Additionally, it is recorded as regular Endemic Life not as a fish caught through fishing.
