How to Use Paint Pod

Can Mark Locations on the Map

The Paint Pod makes it easier to track the location of ammo drop points and monsters for a certain period of time. The marker for the ammo drop location can also be checked on the map.

Second Paint Pod Erases the First When Fired

If you fire the second Paint Pod while the effect of the first one is still active, the first marker will disappear. Be careful if you want to keep the marker.

Hold To Aim

Fire: Slingshot

When you set the Paint Pod, it becomes ready to use. Hold L2 to Aim and press R2 to fire.

Acquired as a Starting Item

The Paint Pod in Monster Hunter Wilds is a Starting Item that is obtained immediately after creating your character. By default, this item is also set in the Radial Menu, so be sure to check there if you otherwise cannot locate the item.
