Popular Teams For Chevreuse
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼ Overload with Electro On-Field DPS | ★★★★★ - Chevreuse is intended to be played in pure Overload teams with only Pyro or Electro teammates. - Including other elements deactivates her Pyro and Electro Resistance (RES) shred on enemies. - Overload teams with an Electro On-Field DPS needs to be paired with an Off-Field Pyro applicator that can consistently apply the element in order to maintain Chevreuse's RES shred. |
| ▼ Overload with Pyro On-Field DPS | ★★★★★ - As stated, Chevreuse needs to be in a team with only Pyro and Electro characters to activate her RES shred. - Overload teams with a Pyro On-Field DPS need to have a complementary Off-Field Electro support or sub-DPS who applies enough Electro to trigger Overload consistently. This is to maintain Chevreuse's RES shred. |

Varesa is one of the stronger Electro On-Field DPSes that can work in a pure Overload team, more so since this comp variation (especially with C6 on either Chevreuse or Iansan) is arguably one of Varesa's strongest team options. At C0, Durin is equal to Mavuika in terms of potential DPS output provided you execute specific Mavuika combos.
Rotation Of Overload with Electro On-Field DPS Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the rotation with Varesa's Skill into Charged Attack, then plunge. This is the first rotation. |
| 2 | Swap to Durin. Use his Skill (x2) then Burst to enter his Confirmation of Purity mode. |
| 3 | Switch to Chevreuse. Use her Skill (hold) then Burst. |
| 4 | Swap to Iansan. Start with her Skill, into a Normal Attack (x1), then Burst. |
| 5 | Return to Varesa. Start her typical combo with (Skill→Charged Attack→plunge) x2. Activate her special Burst when it's up. |
| 6 | Repeat the combo in step 5 one more time. Follow it up with (Charged Attack→plunge) x2 with an optional (Skill→Charged Attack→plunge)x1 as an ending. |
| 7 | Swap to Durin. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4. This is the second rotation. |
| 8 | Switch to Varesa. Open the combo with Skill, into a Charged Attack, into a plunge. then do the combo stated in step 5. End the combo with a (Charged Attack→plunge). |
| 9 | Repeat from step 1. |
| Note | While the notation is labeled as Charged Attack in (Skill→Charged Attack→plunge), in practice you only need to tap the Normal Attack button since Varesa's Skill automatically changes her Normal Attack into a Charged Attack. |
|---|
The combo above essentially alternates between two rotations, the first one where Varesa starts it, and the second where Durin starts it. This allows the team to carefully maintain Chevreuse's RES Shred with timed Overload triggers. If this seems overwhelming to you, you can opt to do just the first rotation instead, since it should be enough to clear most content.
Substitute Characters
| Character | Sub | Details |
|---|---|---|
Varesa | Clorinde Raiden Shogun Cyno Sethos Keqing | - Varesa should be replaced with an Electro On-Field DPS whose abilities and intended playstyle don't discourage playing them in pure Overload teams. |
Durin | Mavuika Pyro Traveler Xiangling Thoma | - Mavuika is Durin's best substitute since she also contributes her own personal DPS alongside a decaying DMG% buff after using her Burst. - Pyro Traveler is the Free-to-Play choice and is decent enough for Electro DPSes that can get in-range for their Skill to apply Pyro. - Xiangling has difficult Energy requirements, so you might have to consider bringing Bennett to help her fully charge her Burst. - Thoma is an option for Electro DPSes that use a lot of Normal Attacks, but not Varesa. |
Iansan | Fischl Ororon Bennett | - This slot should be dedicated to another buffer. - Fischl after finishing her Witch's Homework task can give a modest ATK% buff after the party triggers Overload, provided you have Durin in the party to activate her Hexerei passive. - Ororon can hold the Cinder City and provide energy, which Varesa greatly appreciates if you don't have Iansan. - Bennett is best paired with other Electro DPSes like Raiden Shogun who have no problem staying inside his Burst area. |
Apart from consisting of only Pyro and Electro characters, Chevreuse's Overload teams with an Electro On-Field DPS need to have an Off-Field Pyro Sub-DPS or Support that applies their element consistently, since Chevreuse's RES shred from her passive also requires you to trigger Overload every 6s at the very least.

Arlecchino can be played in most Pyro-oriented teams, and this Overload team with Chevreuse is one of her better comps. Her playstyle focuses on Normal Attacking, so she gets to reliably trigger Overload with Fischl from Oz's attacks. Bennett is of course the ideal buffer for the best damage potential, but if you struggle to sustain Arlecchino, you can swap him out with someone like Beidou.
Rotation Of Overload with Pyro On-Field DPS Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Arlecchino's Elemental Skill to apply Blood-Debts to enemies. └ You can use her Elemental Burst on the second rotation at the start if you need healing. Just make sure to do Burst first before Skill, or use her Skill, Burst then Skill. |
| 2 | Swap to Bennett. Use her Skill (Tap), then Burst. |
| 3 | Use Fischl's Skill or Burst. |
| 4 | Swap to Chevreuse. Use Burst then Skill (Hold). |
| 5 | Switch to Arlecchino and use Charged Attack to absorb the Blood-Debts to gain Bond of Life for her Pyro infusion. |
| 6 | Normal Attack (x3) into Dash cancel as Arlecchino. Repeat this sequence until support durations expire. |
| 7 | Repeat from step 1. |
Since Arlecchino's Blood-Debt Directives need time to turn from Blood-Debt Dues, it's often best practice to start the rotation with her Skill to apply the Blood-Debts first. Furthermore, it's important to always use Chevreuse's Hold Skill, since that provides a teamwide ATK% buff that even Fischl benefits from.
Substitute Characters
| Character | Sub | Details |
|---|---|---|
Arlecchino | Mavuika Klee Yoimiya Yanfei | - While Mavuika's best team isn't Overload, she can still perform extremely well in specific Chevreuse teams due to her high baseline damage potential. - Klee activates her Hexerei passive with Fischl in the party, which in turn activates Fischl's own Hexerei passive that gives a modest ATK% buff whenever Overload is triggered by the party. - Yoimiya and Yanfei are both flexible Pyro DPSes who use Normal Attack often, which helps to maintain Chevreuse's RES Shred since they can trigger Overload consistently. |
Fischl | Raiden Shogun Yae Miko Kuki Shinobu Lisa | - Fischl is the best Electro applicator option for Electro characters that Normal Attack often, but she can be replaced by a Skill-only Raiden Shogun since her Skill has near-infinite uptime. - Miko demands more field time than other options and may extend the rotation, but she deals about as much DPS as Fischl in these teams and can be slotted in if you have her. - Shinobu and Lisa won't contribute any buffs at C0 but can still act as sufficient Electro applicators. |
Bennett | Beidou Durin Iansan Ororon Dehya Thoma | - The last slot should be reserved for a Pyro or Electro buffer or sustain. - Beidou is the best "defensive" option for Arlecchino thanks to her damage mitigation and shield from her constellations. - Iansan provides a generous ATK% buff like Bennett, but would require you to dash often to maintain it. - Durin can be flexed into this slot, and his Hexerei passive is enabled with Hexerei Fischl on the team. - Ororon can equip the Cinder City set for even more DMG% buffs. - Dehya and Thoma are primarily sustain options. |
Like the Electro On-Field DPS variant, an Overload Chevreuse team with a Pyro On-Field DPS needs to have an Electro Sub-DPS or applicator to pair alongside them in order to trigger Overload consistently within a rotation, since Chevreuse's RES Shred only lasts 6 seconds.
